Re: To all my quilting friends.
Thank you, Joan, for posting this thread. This is so important for those feeling lost and depressed and so, so alone. Everyone needs someone, even just one someone to show they care. It can be something as simple as a smile or a caring hug or just listening to what they have to say.
God is always at our side but sometimes we feel so down and out, we think even God doesn't care any more. If you can't pray with someone, at least pray for them.
I live in a senior complex. So many seniors think their family and friends no longer cares and they hide in their little house, hidden from the world around them. Check on your neighbors from time to time, just to chat and see if they are ok. They may say they are "ok" when they are crying deep down inside. Just the face of a friend or neighbor may reassure them that someone does care.
We all need to be more aware of those around us. People of any age can get depressed and down on life and give up so easily in a world that doesn't seem to care anymore. Praying that all who need help, will reach out and ask, JUST ASK.
We are here for anyone who needs us. We do more than quilting. I have found that quilters are a very caring, loving bunch of folks. And there are many prayer warriors on here that are ready to pray and help in any way that they can.
God bless you all today, tomorrow, and always. May HE give us all a little courage today, a strength to give us hope and reach out to give others hope too. We all have a purpose in this life. We are still here because that is part of God's plan for our lives. Never give up. God has a plan for you too.

Re: To all my quilting friends.
Thank You for posting your message. This is a very loving group of quilters and friends. Even though we may never meet in person, we do share so much in friendship.
Many have shared so beautifully thoughts that I share as well. I won't try to repeat. Just pray that the message will have been shared with just the right friend.
I send my Hugs to all of you.

Joan: Thank you for sharing this with us. Depression is an all consuming malady. Have suffered in silence for eons due to CFIDS, however my anti-depressants worked beautifully for me. So sorry to hear about you friend.

Re: To all my quilting friends.
I know now that I was compelled to write about my friend for a reason. And that reason has shown it's self in the form of several of you being able to feel comfortable enough to speak out about depression. I thank you for reading my words and for adding your own words to mine. Together we may be able to help someone else in need!
