Daily Devotion 6/24

this sorda looks like my sky this morning. What is the saying Pink skies in the morning sailors take warning. To us it is just beautiful but to a sea worthy sailor they know it means a storm ahead and rough seas.

This verse makes so much sense if you really think about it. Whatever you give thought to you are usually given much effort and work. So if the LORD is on your mind then you will be doing work that is in HIS will. For example, If your humming a hymn or singing a verse your probably doing work around your home that is good in the sight of the LORD. Do you think the crack addict is humming Jesus loves me as they are shooting up with crack? Do you think the thug robbing a bank or committing murder is reciting his Sunday School memory verse?

God should be on our minds each and every moment, because HE is the one who will keep us on the straight and narrow path of righteousness.

Go sing, humm and recite throughout the day:) Be happy and know God is with you.

Hugs and prayers and many blessings,
Izzy

Music is a love around here and we sing! Ethan loves the Primary songs he is learning, so we practice them often. Music in the home, invites the Spirit to be there.

Thank you Izzy, for the daily devotion. I look for it every day. What an inspiration, both the pictures and the verse. And then to read on to your own thoughts, a devotional in itself. Thank you for what this does for me each day. If I miss a day, I read it later but I never miss one.

You are in my prayers for a continued ministry like this. You reach far more folks than you will ever know for many will not post but many will read and ponder those inspirational words from the Lord.

We may be the "only bible" folks around us see each day. They may never open the bible but they could be inspired by this little devotional. Or they could see our loving kind actions each day and be inspired to try to do the same to others. What we think does indeed show in our daily activities. Let our light so shine in this world, a glimmer of hope in a dark and despairing world.

God bless you, Izzy, and all those who also post their own thoughts. It adds to the devotional, almost like a mini bible study. Thank you everyone for making my day each morning.

Love and hugs across the miles and around the world. Shirley Mae
