Daily Devotion 6/22

One thing I have noticed over time in church. Men are far and few between. When you have a visiting family it is usually just the mom and the kids, the husband stays home or supposedly is at work. I can recall when my kids were young; I always had a passion to go to church but my husband did not. He didnt get saved until he was 33. God and church was not on his radar until then. Even with us having a child with severe developmental disabilities at the time. The nice thing was he didn't blame God either. But oh how GOD can change that. We got envolved in a church back then that was on fire for GOD; I watched the Word enter my husband and just set him a blaze. I am telling you when GOD gets a hold on someones heart watch out! He can work miracles. My DH is a pastor now and truly thinks of GOD first in all he does. I kept it in prayer for years for GOD to use him; I laugh now on how much HE does use him and has changed him:) But, I would not change a thing because its God's way not mine:)

So don't think its too late for a man in your family to find God. Keep your faith, keep praying that God gets a hold on that mans life. You too will one day see how God can change a lost man into a God fearing man:)

God bless

Yes, when the missionares find those to teach, they pray for a family, but many times it is just the mom and kids. They teach who they find.

I am blessed that my hoys learned early and attend with their own families and are involved in church activities. One of them is sitting on the sidelines, but we are praying for him to come in out of the rain, as we lovingly tell him. He will.
