Daily Devotion 6/15

As we have seen even here on our own forum sometimes our mouths--well fingers--can start such chaos because we dont think before we speak/type. What we may think is just an average or non threatening comment can be taken wrongly by many.

I like what Forest Gumps mama said "If you cant say something nice then don't say anything at all" Now if we could just follow that simple rule in life:)

May each of you be able to hold your tongue and ponder a situation before making a choice of speaking/typing. The world has enough fools in it:) I say, go sew something pretty and ponder the situation. Usually I then have nothing to say but I have a beautiful block competed in the aftermath:)

God Bless and prayers

What a powerful message. My DGMother always said the least words said is the least words mended. So we have to be on guard always.Words hurt & we cannot take them back.May we be on guard always.Have a blessed day. Becca

Abraham Lincoln said. Better to say nothing and be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

Wise words.

ps, Izzy .... Thumper said the same thing as Forrest Gump. Wonder if they had the same mom?

The sharpest weapon is such a little thing, the tongue! Takes time to learn to control it. Oh what damage it can do.

I was raised on the Thumper rule by my mom. My kids too.

Where the tongue is used for bad, it can also do much good.
