Daily Devotion 5/25

WE are taught to pray to God who is in Heaven, so it is not strange that we sometimes think of God as being far away. We know that God can do anything, yet we wonder how He can hear or prayers from such a far off place as Heaven. It is well to remember that, though He is in Heaven HE is also near. He is as near to us as the breath we breathe. So fear not HE hears you and HE will answer you soon.

May God bless each of you today:)

This is one of the "I'm safe" scriptures we used to read to Marilyn each night when she came to live with us. She was such a frightened little girl. And knowing God was right there was a huge help.

Proverbs 17:1☺️

How comforting to know God is always with us and we are never alone. Thanks Izzy and a blessed day to all.

That scripture is the basis of one of my favorite hymns, How Firm a Foundation. Here is one of my favorite verses in that hymn:

The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose,
I will not, I cannot, desert to his foes.
That soul, though all hell should endeavor to shake,
I'll never, no never, I'll never no never,
I'll never, no never, no never forsake.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choit has a beautiful rendition of this hymn on youtube.

Thanks Izzy!
