SUPPER CLUB - Friday, March 25th

Post by purrfect-lady » Fri Mar 25, 2016 4:22 am

Good Morning!

Boy, the birds were sure singing to greet the dawn this morning! My favorite sound next to a purring cat.

My battery is dying so I have to make this quick. Your lucky day!!

dinner tonite is at Warren's A.L. facility with 2 more couples. It's our annual tri-birthday celebration. Warren's, mine, and other friend, Tex's. I'm going to make a lemon tart to take. But we eat supper off the menu just like a restaurant.

For Easter, my DB and SIL are coming and a widowed friend. She is the one who is the retired food artist and did food for commercials, movies, etc. Her cooking is always "camera-ready"! lol! So we'll be eating pretty if not tasty! I'm making swiss steak.

Bon appetit!

Good morning from a chilly, dreary SW Pa...But, it doesn't matter, it's sunny in our house today.....

Mary,Around here, our birds are not singing, I think they're still too cold.. But it sounds like you're going to have a good weekend...Eating out is always good even if you are taking a goodie with you....And I'll bet your swiss steak will be picture purrrfect.....

And speaking of sunshine, Nick just got up....Stephan has been up long enough to have his cereal but Scout, the dog is still snoozing...I had forgotten how late teenagers can sleep...But, they didn't get here until almost midnight so all is good!

We're going to have a busy day...The boys want to go "thrift shop" shopping...I think they must have my genes, they love to visit my kind of shop...(I'm also working on getting them to the quilt shops)...I'm looking for a couple silk ties to use for dying a couple of eggs...Jim only had 1 and it was ugly....After that, who knows what we might do....

As for dinner, this being Good Friday, no meat, so stuffed shells would be good...Along with a salad and garlic bread, boys should be happy.....Not sure if I'll be baking but we do have lots of good ice cream in the freezer......

Happy eating..............

Tina, forgot to ask if the Schwann man made it to your house...Our man has abandoned us...He hasn't been around for months and although I really do miss some of the food, we are surviving...What I'm really going to miss are those warm days when he wore his shorts, lol.....

Good morning,

Mary - your dinner will be picture purrfect as well as yummy as it looks! Enjoy tonight with your friends. Warren will be very happy to see all of you.

Irish - glad that they arrived safely. You house will be filled with sunshine! I miss the teenagers here, but it won't be long until I have a houseful again.

Did soup last night and Michael will have it for his lunches, so I need to cook new food. Right now I am in the baking mode, so it may be chicken or bbq pork or a steak, I will see what falls out of the refrig.

Enjoy,
Jana

I'm so late here today. Tonight we had waffles for supper in honor of national waffle day. YUM!!!
