Supper club, Mar. 9, Hump Day!

Post by Irishgram » Wed Mar 09, 2016 5:09 am

A very good morning from a very sunny, warm, summerlike SW. Pa...Can't believe this is Mar...going to the mid 70s today......
But, I'm sure we'll pay for all these good temps, lol....

This has to be a quickie....I have a full day planned and need to hit the shower and get on with it....I usually put all my errands until I have a list a mile long and today is that day.....

We have a young fellow that visits Jim and will do little odd jobs or just sit and talk with him...Well, he just showed up and already Jim is outside supervising....Finally the Christmas boxes will be put in the shed..I was afraid, they would be on the porch until next Christmas, lol.....

Last nights dinner was changed...Jim decided he wanted burgers on the grill with grilled onions and marinated mushrooms.....Dinner tonight will be decided by the car....One of my errands will be to pay the property taxes and after doing that, we certainly deserve a treat, right????

Hope you all are enjoying your day as much as I am....

Happy eating..............

Hello to all from a sunny warm NC.75 here already.Took my walk early it was so pretty.Loving these temps.

Our DGS facetimed & they are coming in April. We are excited. And our DGS gets out of Army first of April so it will be an exciting month for us.

Irish I too have a mile long list when I go to town.DH says why don't you go more often? It is a pain for me to go.Much rather be home.Hope your day goes smooth & errands get done,

Jana Saw where your house is getting more guests for a while.Ethan will be thrilled.

This weather makes me want to go plant some flowers but I know better.Much too early.Did see forsythia starting to bloom.

Got the lamb finished .Told DH I sure didn't want to do another one.Oh we must eat right. Will be black beans over rice with diced spring onions on top. Becca

Good morning,

Did I ever say that this house is a bed and breakfast! Yes, the youngest kids will be here for a short time. It will be fun to have my little Gracie. She is Grandpa's girl, but having her here that will change! Glad to help out my kids get into their own homes. We are saving up some money in case they need it, but haven't told them. We want them to succeed on their own.

Today the car will find dinner out for us. I am having my Activity day girls here as well as Ethan. And Emma will be here for awhile too. No cooking for me!

Irish - nice that Jim has a young helper. Michael has learned that he doesn't belong on ladders, so he finds someone to do that for us. Last year he miss counted the rungs as he came down and fell from the about two feet rrom the floor, just enough to teach him.

Becca- April can't get here fast enough for you! How wonderful!

Enjoy,
Jana

Irish, glad your Christmas is getting put up :-) I still have my Indian Nativity Scene out on my entertainment center in the den. I made it about 20+ years ago and I wanted to enjoy it longer :-)
Jana, glad you're getting more baby girl time :-)
Becca, I'm not fond of going very many places either, good thing because I wouldn't want to with 2 little boys LOL
Our brisket last night was really good! Just the right amount of heat. Tonight will be burgers on the grill.

Hi Everyone!
Beautiful weather here today with a promise of rain on Friday night.

Tonight's supper is roast chicken, salad, potatoes and a vegetable.

Jana - Nice you will have your baby girl in the house.

Becca - You are actually warmer than we were today.

Tina - Glad you enjoyed the brisket.

Irish - So glad you have someone that helps Jim and you! You will be glad to have the holidays off the porch I'm sure.

Good evening! The car found dinner for us as well... Chinese... in Joplin. We had to make a run over there today, and after our meeting, we stopped for dinner before coming home. Our silly dogs accompanied us for the ride. They jumped in the car, and we didn't havery time to play round up to get them in the house. They were good kids... happy when we returned so they could chase an impudent rabbit out of the yard.
