Supper club, March 4th, TGIF........

Post by Irishgram » Fri Mar 04, 2016 7:20 am

Yea, for those who work, it's FRIDAY.....And then, those like me, it's still Friday and another great day....

We woke up to winter once again but it's slowly leaving and I'm hearing, from those in the know, we headed upwards, temp wise...I might have to break out the shorts by the middle of next week..(which won't be a pretty sight).....

I just had a very nice text from our Queen Mary...She tried to post but her phone locked up...She is still in the desert, still 90 degrees and says, 50 and rain sounds pretty nice right now...The friends that live there full time were needing new brakes so she and Bill went to the rescue...They waited 10 days for parts, then 2 more for another box and now Bill and friend have been working 3 days to install..Their camping permit expires on Mar. 9th so they will leave for home (1300 miles away)...Might go through California and make a stop at Chriss'.....
Her dinner tonight will be an enchilada casserole and will be made in the crock pot which is outside....Too hot to cook inside...Fur kids are doing great....

I was so happy to hear from her, really do miss her daily posts....
Today is another "do what you want" day...And I haven't figured out if I want to do anything, lol....I did hem some drapes *with BabyGirl's help) and might dig out the bin of yard...My sister is going to be a gram again and this time I need blue...I really should get my Sat. uglies done today because Nick is in a big robotic competition tomorrow and I want to be able to watch it...

As for our dinner, I'm thinking simple, grilled cheese and the real mac n cheese...........Found another box of Girl Scout cookies that I had hidden away so Jim will have his treats......

What kind of treats are you all having???

Happy eating..............

Eagle funny....You know the eagles are known for eating just about anything and everything they can find...Well, yesterday the male brought 2 pig hooves to the nest...The little ones weren't too thrilled, not sure what to do with them and at one point, 1 little one used 1 as a pillow...Harriet moved them from one side of the nest to the other and finally threw them over....Wonder if he shopped at Piggly Wiggly.....

Oh, Irish—so funny about the pig hooves!!! Wonder what happened to the rest of the pig… if he woke up without his boots!!! Glad you heard from Queen Mary! I saw where the local schools were in a robotics competition.

We had a great day here weatherwise—probably just around 70 and sunny with only a medium wind. I had to take Ava to the vet and meet Meagan there, but she seems to be doing much better and ate treats in the truck on the way home. I knew the competition with Odie would spur her appetite! Odie rode shotgun with us and was a good little trooper.

Becca—just light a scented candle… the vet sells the ones that eradicate pet smells. I’m sure I need several! One of my DDILs gave me a Sentsy and I plug it in or light a candle when cooking with noxious aromas.

I have some marinara that I need to eat… might make pasta for me tonight. DH can have steak and potatoes along with salads for both of us. I should make a dessert, but… I’m so lazy!

Tomorrow is a day of running…

Good evening,

Late here today - working on Baden's quilt - all the blocks are sewn and the borders cut, but running short on two of the pieces of fabrics. Sarah and I hopped on over to the LQS and they still had some of each, so now I will finish the top and it's ready for my LA.

Dinner will be pork chop, rice pilaf and asparagus. Unless DH takes me out.

Glad to hear from our fearless leader. 90 in the desert isn't that bad - it is dry and no humidity. Can't wait for us here in my desert to get that warm! We have been in the upper 60's for the last few days.

Irish - I was wondering too about just the feet, what was that eagle thinking? LOL

Enjoy,
Jana
