sonya it called it a 'variation'...and it was not an actual quilt site...just a posting of a block so who knows if it was right or not. i always thought ohio star was different than lemoyne star but the pics were exactly the same w the different names. anyway i sent a pic to vinae of the block ill switch to. np as i dont have all the fabric cut yet and the pieces are very similar.

That's what I thought, Marcia ...there isn't a right or wrong in my eyes..
Most all of these blocks were around long before I was..
The one I find amusing is the Monkey Wrench...It has AT LEAST 30 "variations".
Grandma called in Shoofly..

The Ohio Star has many variations, also...

I have changed my mind twice already...
I am using a lot of scraps if I cannot find enough of one fabric for them all...so I wouldn't doubt if I ended up making my own variation of the Ohio Star by the time I'm finished!

It's good to see you back, Marcia...pray you and the family are doing well..
Looking forward to seeing your block..

Sonya.

Marcia- yes I was thinking that too. If we don't get anymore we can opt to do 10 blocks of 2 different kinds. And for the jars if anyone wants to do more sets that is fine also. I am really flexible for these swaps.
Izzy- I like your block. That is really different.

Ok..then I will go ahead and do my Ohio Star...I'll post a pic in a bit...
Wow! I was confused, too! There are so many variations of so many that it is difficult to figure out which is which.
That is not the shooting star I was thinking, Izzy..LOL.
