SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Jan 17th
Good Morning!
Today is my son & DIL's 13th wedding anniversary. He's such a football fan, that I'm very surprised he got married in play-off season! lol! The big game is today in Charlotte against BECCA's Panthers, who are hot-hot-hot. Should be a very interesting game.
Speaking of BECCA - where is she? I know a few days ago she was having some scary high BP problems, plus they had just learned about their friend's brain cancer. I hope she is OK.
JANA - I bet Ethan will love seeing his parents sing and his mom play the flute. If you were rooting for the Packers and the Chiefs yesterday, then it was a sad day in your house. We watched both of those games.
TINA - Your little Brazilian Sue was so cute! Have you made any more? Tell Frankie we'll be watching his Broncos and rooting for them. They are our second favorite team.
IRISH - That's too funny about Jim sitting on the bedroom floor! I can see why he's keeping is eye out now when you get into that rearranging mood! The bathroom! Too funny!!
CHICKIE - I hope the neighbor's forsythia comes back, but it was huge and she hacked it to the ground - and just left it laying there. We aren't sure what goes on in her mind, but when we travel in winter and she waters plants and gets the mail, our heating bill is THREE TIMES higher than when we are home! And that's after Bill installed a thermostat that automatically turns off at 5pm. We do worry about her - and her shrubs! Her adult DD and SIL live with her which is a very good thing.
CAROLS - yoo hoo! Girls, are you there? I hope you're getting enough to eat!
Last night's chops ended up being shredded, BBQ'd pork sandwiches and salad. Much better! There might be enough for tonite. If not, then maybe cabbage rolls. I haven't made those in about 40 years. Not sure I even remember what all goes into them! So if you've got ideas - send them on! I know there's hamburger, rice, onions, tomatoes. I could add celery, shredded carrot, garlic, bell peppers . . . Do you cook the burger first? Cover in Tomato sauce while cooking? I guess I better check a cookbook . . . .
I hope you have a better handle on your supper than I have on ours!

Good morning,
Mary - seems the teams I want to win, lose, should I root for the Seahawks today? LOL
Church is in a few minutes - Ethan got sick yesterday, so we will see if he is with me today. He ate something that didn't agree.
Dinner - I will think about it later! We will eat, I have leftovers
Enjoy,
Jana

Mary, thank you
Brazil Sam gets posted tomorrow, I can hardly wait! I'm putting backing behind them before I sew so it's a Quilt as you go for me, something new for me
I brought my ISBS with me to Mom and Dad's, maybe I'll get a couple traced, just need to remember to do 2 of each because Jazmyne is getting one of these quilts.
Becca, I hope you feel better soon and they get your BP under control.
Jana, sorry about Ethan feeling yucky.
Oh Mary, I'm glad your 2nd favorite team is the Broncos!
we plan on being home in time for the game, we might miss a few minutes.
Jazmyne is with us today. I'm making burritos at Mom and Dad's for lunch, not sure what supper will be.
Tina

Good Morning Everyone!
Hi Maryz - Yes, we have been eating. Tonight will be meatloaf, mashed potatoes, vegetable and salad.
Becca - Sorry to hear you are still not well. Your Doctor is really wonderful! She must be very worried about you. Call her if you are not well.
Jana - Hope Ethan is better today.
Tina - Your SBS is adorable! Thanks for posting the picture.
I got a new scale this morning. I need to stop eating those cookies that are in the freezer!! Road to California opens this week and I will be going on Saturday. I am so excited!
Carol

Mary--if your neighbor left her forsythia clippings on the ground, she may have a forsythia forest... Sometimes they spread and grow on their own and from cuttings on the ground. So sorry, I'm sure, for you to watch her decline. I know you have had interesting, to say the least, experiences with her doing your house sitting.
Becca--hope you lick this quick!!! That's such a scary feeling and so helpless.
I haven't watched any football. I know, un-American, isn't it! I have watched my share in the past, so don't blame me too much. I heard where the Rams are returning to LA from STL. The city made a lot of concessions for them when they came, now they are leaving... so fickle! Arizona Cardinals just isn't the same!!!
Carol--have fun at Rd2CA! Lucky you to be close to such a prestigious show! I can't remember... do you have something in it?
Jana--I'm sure your church was quite special today!
I have to figure out something here for dinner. I'm leaning heavily toward potato soup. DH got his favorite pancakes (I threw in pecans, too) for brunch, so maybe I'll make one of my faves. We might do grilled cheese with the soup. It's chilly cold and brutally windy outside. YUM... soup! Meanwhile... sewing room...
