SUPPER CLUB - Mon, Jan 4th
Good Morning!
We had a little snow yesterday - just enough to turn our world white. and it was in the daytime so we could enjoy watching it. This morning is light rain, 35*, and mucky out there. I think I'll skip my morning walk.
IRISH - complain all you want about your weather. Because I know that was one reason my grandpa moved here from PA! Sorry Jim - and you - had a bad night. Do you think it would help him if he had a clock that displayed the time in big numbers on the ceiling? We have one we got as a gift and we love it! No turning to squint at the clock. It's right there (unless a cat is laying so he/she blocks the display, of course.)
JANA - Thank you! Our 'Hawks did win! Rather spectacularly, too. And I saw that your beloved 49ers won, too! Now on to the playoffs where I think we will be playing Mary Q's team next week. I am so going to miss football when it's done. Sorry your MIL was difficult. Bill's mom was a piece of work, too. I thought it was just me for years, but finally came to realize she hated ALL women except her sainted mother. She had 7 DIL's and 2 SIL's and 1 DD, and never said a good word about any of them - but plenty of bad ones!
LADY CAROL - oh no! Not the manflu again! I'm so sorry!
We ended up with taco's last night. And either I was really hungry, having missed lunch, or else they truly were the very best taco's I ever had in my life! Now I've got a taste going for Mexican food . . . I might make black bean enchiladas for tonite - and a big salad.
What have you all got a taste for for your supper tonite? Doesn't Mexican sound good? . . .

Good morning everyone,
Irish You need to come visit & soak up some of our sunshine.Cold here but beautiful with. Blue skies.
Lady Carol Sorry to see your Sir is down again. And I was thinking soup & I got a laugh when you said he wanted the full plate.lol
Maryz Our teams both did well.I think ours was asleep last week the way they played. It would be hard for DGS if they play each other.
It is leftovers here but I am happy to eat the pie again. It was delish, golden brown & bubbles. She brought us six so we will enjoy them thru the cold Winter & maybe Spring.
I will add stir fri veggies & cinnamon rolls. Becca

Good morning! Mary--Mexican and Chinese ALWAYS sound good to me!!! I can go for either for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Last evening we had chili dawgs with cheese and onions. See--chili!
Tonight will be steak and baked potatoes, a green something, and salad. Maybe I'll have a taco instead of steak...
After sun yesterday, we are cold and gloomy today. I saw where freezing rain is again in our forecast this week. Hope Mother Nature changes her mind.

Good morning from a very cold, shivery, Sw. Pa...We even got a coating of snow and what is extra funny, the township crew was called out to salt and scrape the roads...We have nothing on the roads but the trucks came through.....I guess the men had to see if the trucks still worked, lol.....Tonight will be a 2 0r 3 quilt night, going down to 9...And an EX friend of mine just left for Florida, the nerve of some people!
Mary, we have a clock you can see from across the room but it's not so much the clock, he has a hard time understanding time any more...And, if he happens to go to bed early and then get awake in an hour, he thinks it's the next morning and can't understand why it's still dark...It's really sad what happens to the mind and very frustrating, for both Jim (and me, trying to explain)...But, we muddle through, you know, Frick and Frack!
Becca, I'm on my way! If you have sunshine and cinnamon rolls, that's all I need....What more could a person ask for......
Chickie, I'll go along with you with the Chinese but just can't get into or maybe should say, tummy can't do the Mexican.... I'm with you, hoping Mother Nature has a change in her weather plans...I guess we (here in Pa) got too used to the warm temps we had been having and now we're really spoiled...
Lady Carol, so sorry to hear about the Sir not feeling well...But, I'm sure you'll take special care and he'll be back to normal real soon....Who could stay sick with all the meals you've been cooking? Hope your weather improves and you get a big dose of the sun......
As I mentioned, it's cold and I don't know if I'll be able to get out of my flannel PJs and robe...I might have to get back under the electric blanket until Spring.....
Hopefully, come dinner time, it will warm up and we might, might being the word, have ham/cabbage and potatoes...Either that or ham and scalloped potatoes....The brain is frozen, can't make decisions......
Happy eating.................

Good morning!
Mary - yes the 9ers won, in two ways - the game and fired the coach! Now just to get a good quarterback. Good luck in Minnesota.
Irish - I am so with about warm jammies! We are above freezing for the first time in about three weeks.
Becca - yum - warm cinnamon rolls!
The pork chops were a huge hit. The bleu cheese sauce was yummy, in fact DH went back to scrape up all the rest of it from the pan.
Just learned it is national spaghetti day, so I will make a small batch for dinner tonight.
Enjoy,
Jana
