SUPPER CLUB - Sat, Nov 28
Good Morning!
So how was the turkey? I never made it here yesterday. We spent TG night in Renton at a motel near my son's house. The drive home was just too long for TG night. Scottie was confused that we were sleeping in a such a strange place. I think it was his first motel. Since he had to pay $15 to sleep there, too, he figured he had a right to his share of the white bedspread. We didn't argue the point! lol!
Yesterday, on our way home, we had breakfast at a restaurant, stopped at Joann's (which was crazy, but they had a two-cut counter so I was able to bypass the long lines of FORTY=THREE carts filled head high waiting to be cut), visited my brother, did some uglies, some decorating, finished my Clam quilt (photo posted), started another block for Warren, and met friends for Mexican.
Today is a little more of the same, might cut our Christmas tree this morning and then meet Bill's family at Olive Garden at 2pm for "lupper". Some day I'll cook again, but not today!
What's the plan at your house?

Good morning,
Turkey was great! The bones are done with and in the trash - soup is in the refrigerator, awaiting Monday's dinner. That is when I will turn it into noodles.
Today is Banned PNW treat. Sarah brought it home to me - she's the culprit! LOL I will add a rice pilaf and a salad.
Heading to the Batt cave to sew - when you get snow, you sew!
Enjoy,
Jana

Good early afternoon from dreary, soggy, chilly, SW. Pa....I knew it was coming but darn, it's here! After the great weather we've had, this is extra hard to take but a good day to stay indoors....
Mary, I checked out your "clams" and absolutely gorgeous...My heavens, girl friend, do you ever slow down????And of course was wondering how Bill is doing...Hope the tummy issue is long gone and also, hoping there was a sponge bath in the schedule...Funny, how everyone is worried about Bill taking a bath, lol.....
Becca, Sure hope you're feeling better and better each day...I see your weather isn't the best either...And seeing how many is in your family, you certainly are blessed, doubly blessed.....
Jana, you have my mouth watering with the talk about those noodles...My DDIL, Cindy, was getting ready to make her's today and I'd love to just sneak in and have a bowl.....
This Thanksgiving was one of the best we've ever had...We did go to Kevin's and the dinner was unbelievable...But, just sitting with all the kids and listening to the stories, a lot about Chris, very special...Then yesterday afternoon, the "kids" (all adults) and I went to see The Good Dinosaur, which was very, very good and then went to Dan's favorite spot and had gormet burgers...AND of course we had to visit the Cat Room at Petco...We were going to play some games back at the house but the "kids" were tired out...Gram was just too much for them.....
The other day, I decided, it was time to find a good home for some of my fabric so I called a gal I had met at the Post Office and she "adopted" some of my stuff....She belongs to a quilting group who makes things for the needy, so what better way to use up this stuff...And while she was here, I showed her my "Comfort quilt" and she couldn't say enough good things about it...She only lives about a mile away and I've only met her once but we talked like we were life long friends and I'm sure from now on, will be....You know, quilters are the nicest people around!
AND as for dinner, we still have some left overs and probably finish them...Not sure who all will be here but there's always enough...Terry and Stephan will be leaving for NC after breakfast in the morning and I'm sure there will be lots of tears flowing, darn.....
Happy eating....................

Turkey day was great here! I was supposed to have 14 then it dropped to 8 after I already started cooking then it popped up to 10 then up to 15 eating when food was being put on the table and after we ate 4 more showed up LOL it was a fun busy day and Frankie and Kevin were great helpers!
Tonight we're having leftovers, not sure if it's just going to be Frankie and me or if Holly and the kids will still be here, Mom and Dad left a little bit ago to go home.

Hello,Late here but everyone left.Had a great day with little ones.Sophie told me Nana Your bathroom smells good & it is clean. She is a riot.Shes 31/2.
Cadence 21/2 told her Dad when she was here at Thanksgiving that the bathroom was clean,I laughed. Her Mom said she has told her about the dirty bathrooms at restaurants so she is conscious I guess.Kids !,!! Never cease to amaze me.
She also told her Teacher at her school that they had too many toys. She said we Need to go outside & use our imagination.
Irish I am feeling better each day so I am grateful.Lasted way too long.Especially here at Holidays.Want to decorate but it can wait.My DB & niece are due for weekend in 2 wks. He is the one that lost his wife in August.
Know you really hate to see DS & DGS leave. It is never easy.
Maryz You are a quick quilter.Your clams are very pretty.Love your colors.
Jana Those noodles sound yummy.DS left me the hambone for soup.
Tina Your crowd seemed to expand but you can never have too many loved ones.
We had leftovers today.I did cook some creamed corn. And DGSs family brought a new dessert. Was like a chocolate brownie cake with cherries on top.DH loved it.We still have ham & beef roast left. Will be good for sandwiches. And cookies too.I sent the pie & some ham home with them.. Becca
