SUPPER CLUB - Mon, Nov 2nd
Well, now, wasn't that a great sports party we had! DH and I sat on our patooties and watched our Seahawks win in a real squeaker over Dallas, and then we rolled right into the World Series where Kansas City took the whole thing in the 12th inning. It poured rain all day long and we didn't care a bit!
CHICKIE - Oh, I believe you about the old timey treatment for the cysts! But there have been advancements in medicine since those days. And Bill's doctor needs a new boat! So Bill is going to do his part . . .
TINA - I'd forgotten that Easton was born on Holly's birthday! My Brother's dog has the same birthday as Scottie, July 26. And my Foxy kitty and I have the same birthday! And Autumn, my dad, and my first sheltie, Shamrock, were all born on Jan 10th. We like doubling up in our family, too!
BECCA - I think we've all learned, to our chagrin, that there are some folks to whom we just don't give handmade gifts.
JANA - well, you are certainly making up for lost trick-or-treaters in your new location!! I guess if I ever decide to move I should keep that in mind . .
IRISH - Last night I dreamed I made a big pot of salsa and gave it away as Christmas gifts! It's a good idea, don't you think? And yesterday must have been the day for breakfast complaints. That was our table, too! Our usual place has been going downhill, but the last two Sundays, our orders have either been mixed up, forgotten, or just plain inedible. And the coffee is undrinkable. (we're forced to drink bloody marys!) We are going to break tradition and go to a different restaurant next Sunday.
Our chicken dinner last night was pretty good! So we're going to re-run it again tonite. Chicken and noodles with Dijon sauce, peas, and salad. I may make a casserole with the chix/noodles/peas/sauce. We'll see what I feel like later this afternoon.
Thanksgiving is only 24 days away. Do you have any special, unique recipes or traditions for that special day?

Mary, that's cool about the birthdays
my sister and my Aunt shared the same birthday, that was always awesome! I think it's so cool when a kid and a family adult share the same day
I still don't know how Jazmyne and Jayda will work out because Jayda's parents say they never have money for the girls birthdays, I tell her all the time that I'll bake a cake and buy the ice cream, she thinks it needs to be a big thing with cookouts and drinks and party favors etc...she's either all or nothing....and a side note they can afford it, they make more than Frankie does, they just like to eat out every meal and get their whole bodies tattooed. I was so happy your Seahawks beat the Cowboys!
I need to see what new food I'm making today, we cleaned the fridge out of all the other...I'll have to get back to you on What's for supper here
Tina

Good morning from a very foggy start but getting much, much better, SW. Pa...The sun is peeking out and has promised to stay around almost all week......
Yesterday couldn't get much better, sports wise, Seahawks and the Royals! The Steelers lost even though Big Ben was back but sorry Black and Gold, lost me as a fan.....
Mary, what a dream but that is a good idea....AND I know where you can get some tomatoes.....Kathy texted me last night and said, they were expecting a frost and Tim was pulling all the tomatoes and they have tons....She had been canning sauce most of the day...Want me to tell her to send you a bushel or 2????She also sent me pictures of the new hot tub they installed on their back patio..I'm tempted to hop on a plane and fly to Reno...
Tina, funny where some people put their priorities....When our kids were small, we really didn't have the money for big parties but they were very happy with just having cake and ice cream....
Hopefully today, I can start on my bathroom curtains..I think the machines have had enough of a break...Not much else happening...Tomorrow, my sister has a day trip planned...Wants to leave early in the AM, and hit a few shops up north...There's usually 4 of us, my sister, her friend, Kevin's wife and myself..Cindy and I sit in the back seat and just go, most of the time, not sure where we're going but don't care...As long as there's lunch involved, we really don't care...
So, tonight I really should make a good dinner, I guess...I'm thinking, chicken with the fried onion breading, some sort of potato and a vegie (of my choice)....Might even back a gingerbread.....
Happy eating..................

Hello everyone,busy for a Monday morn.Rainy here.
Our Birthdays here share same week & month but none share the same day.Bug my DGD is expecting on the same day as one of the others but who knows if that will be the day.
Tina We have one in our family that has to do it up big time each Birthday.I think a cake & ice cream is great. This one hires entertainers for a kids party.
Mary It was a good sports day.Happy for Royals after so many years.
I was making a pot of spaghetti sauce & steamed my fingers on right hand.Have run lots of cold water & used the aloe plant on them.Really fixed them.Makes you feel so stupid.
So that is our meal today with salad & crusty bread.DH has coconut cream pie...Becca

Good afternoon!
A bit cloudy, but lots of blue sky here. The drawback is - it is cold out there! DH has the compressor running and he and Ethan are blowing out the sprinkler system for the winter. I can hear Ethan giggling as the water squirts out of the open valve.
Dinner - humm - chicken something. We have veggies so I will see what ican put together.
Mary - Sarah makes a canned salsa using the Ball Fiesta Seasoning mix - they love it. She has taught it as a class on canning at the farm in the past.
Enjoy!
