Re: SUPPER CLUB....wednesday September 30th
Good late morning from a very dreary, chilly, rainy, SW. Pa....Yep, it's a yucky kind of day.....
Lady Carol, so glad to see you get the table ready...And, you certainly aren't a "dip stick"....Love, love to hear from you and read your posts...Remember, a few years ago, you had sent me a picture of one of your quilts, it was blue and absolutely gorgeous.....If you come up with a way to stretch the year, let me know.....
Since today is so yucky, what better way to spend it than to go to lunch with friends, right???? We had planned to go to a new bistro but found out, it only has outside sitting...Not good on a rainy day so we switched to another place...The new place advertises "pumpkin beer" which 2 of the girls are into....Me, I'll stick with flavored iced tea.....
Spent the morning folding that last load of clothes that spent the night in the dryer and sorting magazines that I share with a gal friend (not my quilting ones, they stay with me forever)....AND going through all those insurance/medicare tomes that we get in the mail...Jim and I have the exact same insurance/medicare stuff and why they have to send us double is beyond me...Oh well, I guess it helps someone keep their job.....But, the trash man isn't going to be too happy with this load of stuff......So, now on to hit the shower and be on my way.....
As for dinner, thinking of chicken patty sandwich and soup, for Jim and he'll even say, that's too much....Pirates are playing a double header today so we all know where we can find him....Tonight is Survivor so you'll know where I'll be between 8:00 and 9:00, EST......
Happy eating..................

Good morning!
It too is cloudy and overcast - rain sometime in the next few days. Good time to hibernate down in the Batt Cave and sew.
Dinner - I found several soup recipes the other day on Pinertest that I think I will try. Some were copycat recipes of Olive Garden soups - some of our favorites.
Off to the Batt Cave,
Enjoy,
Jana

Good afternoon! I’m back from walking down to my great grand dog’s house to let her out and get some exercise with her and my doggies. It’s a fun time for all! Little Boomer is fitting in real well here. His little tail never stops wagging, and he can beg for treats just as well as Odie and Tinker Bell. He is a pig for pets, too.
Lady Carol—I have the same problem sewing tumblers. It took me awhile to finally get a system that would work… oh, and the ripping, too. Have fun with your new toy!
I saw a good tip on Fons and Porter for seam rippers… put a pencil holder thingy on them to keep them from rolling off on the floor. I’ve got those on my list, as I am always hunting for my rippers on the floor.
Irish—we got huge piles of the Medicare and Insurance books as well in duplicate. One set goes automatically into the recycle bin. Let us know how the pumpkin beer tastes. I never thought I’d like chocolate wine, but…
Jana—the overcast lifted here, and it’s a beautiful fall day. Let us know how the soups turn out and post the good ones.
Dinner here… last night the little boy from across the road brought over the pizza kit we bought to support his football team. So, tonight will be a Little Caesar’s pepperoni pizza along with salad and maybe something for dessert… if I go to the kitchen.
Enjoy!

Re: SUPPER CLUB....wednesday September 30th
Hi all
I'm getting ready to take Holly for her Drs appointment, let's see what they say today. I've been really tired this week, guess from trying to stay on top of everything in case she goes into labor. I made 2 loaves of zucchini bread and a big zucchini cake, I'm going to freeze most of it but wanted to use up the last of the zucchini that didn't get frozen or eaten
since I won't be getting home till late I think I'm going to ask Frankie if we can get something and bring it home for supper, maybe Mexican
