SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Sept 20th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sun Sep 20, 2015 2:45 am

good morning, all y'all!

We're supposed to have a touch of wind and rain today. It's breezy right now, but kind of balmy out there. Very pleasant

I don't know if I should be Queen of Supper Club any more or not. (Oh, did I tell you? I elected myself 'Queen'.) I found the dog's supper sitting on the counter this morning. I dished it up but never gave it to him! All he got was what he could lick off the cat food spoon.

IRISH - I sure wish we could take a temporary tuck in the U.S. and draw you closer to Chicago, just for a few hours. You and that kitty. I think you should get him for me and I'll be by in a year or two 'soon' to pick him up. His name is Bobbin. Happy Anniversary to your DGS. With a nod to his parents and Chris.

CAROL - some projects are like that - more unsewing than sewing! What fun to run into 4 extra friends! There's always room at the table for more laughter!

CHICKIE - thanks! Now I know where to check for the goodies when I'm at your house! Love your saying, "As ye sew, sew shall ye rip." classic!

JANA - what is your elevation there? We are at sea level. I usually put some things in our car, too, for winter - Christmas CD's and Hershey bars.

BECCA - so wonderful that you and your brothers are there for your youngest brother on this date. I hope the 'boys' do some fun guy things.

TINA - so - how did you fix your chicken? Glad you are cooling it down there! I bet your walkway looks so pretty now!

Our supper will be leftover chicken noodle soup. And I think I'll make some rolls, too.

What can I get for you?

Mary, I guess he wasn't hungry or would've let you know :-)
Becca, DD has less than a month left :-) Mom goes tomorrow for her consultation. Sorry your DH isn't doing good.
I didn't do the chicken last night, it got to late and I was just not able to cook so canned soup and a grilled cheese. I'll make chicken fajitas tonight :-) and a salad :-)

Good early afternoon from semi chilly, but very sunny, SW. Pa...I guess this is a typical Fall day although it's really not Fall yet....

Oh Mary, how I wish I could take in "Bobbin"...If it were up to me (and maybe it's best that it isn't), I'd really be known as that "Crazy Cat Lady" and have a cat house...So to keep peace with Jim and BabyGirl, I'll keep my distance...I can't even go to PetSmart any longer because I leave in tears...I just can't believe Bill doesn't want litter in his brand new truck, lol.....
And poor Scottie having to lick up cat food...But, you're still our Queen, not to worry....

Becca, today is a better day...But, you know, I have no real complaints, most of my days are good and if they're not, it's usually my fault...I can always find something to make me smile....
So sorry to hear about your hubby....I often wonder how this could happen to Jim, I was the one with medical problems and he was going to take care of me...But, you never know what life throws at you..But, having faith we'll get through it and I know you will.....

This morning we went to early Mass and then on to breakfast...And after the usual, "how you doing?" the other Jim who is 89, said, at least we're here and up right..I realy laugh at him, he gets so upset because he can't do what he did years ago...He's 89 and just had open heart surgery for heaven's sake.He probably still does more in 1 day than people half his age....But, our breakfast time is always special....

Jim has a full day of sports, Steelers are on now (I really don't want to watch them because of Michael Vick) and then later this afternoon the Pirates are on....Now, them I'll watch, love their catcher, lol.....Notre Dame had another exciting game yesterday so no black arm bands in this house.....
The fur kids are letting me know, they aren't thrilled with the last couple of cans of food so I guess I'm off to Walmart....

As far as dinner, that could be just about anything...I have a couple of sliders (Schwans), pizza (Schwans) and lots of soup on the shelf...And with me going out, you just never know where the car might stop on the way home....

Happy eating................

Good Evening All......just a day without rain or warm sunshine....so....its probably a normal day.......

had a visit from the Bristol family today......didn't want a meal....so it was coffee and cake all round....about 3 rounds I think.........its Sirs birthday this week.....so they came up to drop off his prezzys....

In a couple of weeks....when he goes off on his "lads week end" to Spain.....I said I would take myself off to Monmouth....its a nice little town in Wales.....for the day and peruse the Fabric shop there.....well....the Bristol family got all excited....they love going there.....so that's my Saturday sorted.....bus trip.....fabric trip.....lunch out....shopping with my favourites......and that's what you call......Retail Therepy.....love it.....makes up for my recent(and still ongoing)disaster in the sewing room.....sometimes I think if I had a brain.....I could be dangerous......however to know my quilty friends have had the same problem makes me feel better.....I now find I have enough Tumblers to make 2 quilts and half a dozen cushions.....duh......

Todays menu......Chicken Breasts in White Wine Sauce......Carrots and Brocolli....Creamed Potatoes.......Strawberry Trifle for afters.....
going to do our "sunday roast" tomorrow.....as we had the family here....used my faithful Slow cooker today......

Hoping all is well with you and yours......take care and see you tomorrow

Good afternoon!

Irish - I know where the black armbands are- here! Your Steelers are not playing nice in the sandbox! LOL At least it is on DVR and I can skip through most of it.

Most of my football teams won yesterday - Cal, Stanford, And Utah. BYU lost by one point last night. There is always next week.

Dinner tonight will be a pot roast. Sarah saw I was cooking one, so invited herself to dinner. After that, the rest of my kids are coming to celebrate the September birthdays - just one - Logan. He is 7 now. Cake and ice cream.

Enjoy,
Jana
