Supper club, July, 10th, Friday......

Good, almost noon, from a very soggy, dreary, SW. Pa....Am I beginning to sound like a broken record??? We have been having a fine misty rain all morning, good for the grass but that's about it....

I have a feeling, Mary is either rounding up the fur kids or trying to light that fire under Bill...They have quite an adventure ahead of them, can't wait to hear all about it.....
I was just thinking, Mary did say, her Irish cousin would be house sitting but knowing Irish people as I do, there still might be a way to get to that stash....

Not sure what I'm going to get into today but won't be much, lol....Every time I go upstairs, I do a little more hand quilting so that might be on tap..Also, started another Patterson book last night and stayed up until 3:00 reading so might have to take a nap and then finish the book...Not real productive but a nice lazy day...Hopefully, tomorrow the sun will come out and the sheets will be on the line.....

Jana, I copied your ravioli recipe and will be making it when all the NC fellows get here.....Sounds soooo good!

As far as dinner, I'm thinking one of Mary's scramblers...I should bake something but don't want to exert myself too much.....

After all my mowing & bush whacking this week I am not as busy today.The heat takes a toll.
I too plan to read but not until 3 in the morn.Must have been a thriller Irish

I made some energy bites yesterday.Much like a cookie but healthy.Will be meat loaf again.Our neighbor gave me lots of cucumbers & squash yesterday.I will slice some cakes & sautee squash.......Becca

Well, yesterday I played by the rules and the chicken taco salad was delicious! I even had some this morning for breakfast/brunch (no chips). I'll have the rest tonight, and I'll make a steak for DH. DS1 texted and said the sweet corn is ready, so I know what I'll be doing... Will probably go get some for dinner tonight and to take tomorrow to Mom, my sister and DBIL for their dinners.

The cows will be SO HAPPY! The love the cobs, the stalks and anything else they can get! When I had chickens, I'd shuck the corn and the chickens came up and got the worms and any kernels that came loose.

I have some lemon cheesecake bars in the oven--will take some to Mom tomorrow, too. DH will be a happy camper as well.

Irish--Are you watching "Zoo" by Patterson? DH has been watching it... usually I kind of listen. Stop by, and I'll ride shotgun on the biggest fabric raid of the summer! I know we will eat well--you have the sweetest car with best restaurant GPS!

Becca--after cool and damp here, we are going for hot and steamy! What's in your energy bites? I always like to make goodies that "hide" good stuff and fool DH into thinking he's getting a treat.

Mary--Happy trails from us as well! I know it will be a great trip!

Good afternoon,

Well they were wrong again! I have hail, rain, thunder and lightning! We were supposed to be dry. Oh well.....

Dinner might be out over at the farm. Tonight Sarah brings in several food trucks. They have a rotation on which trucks come. Tonight is a waffle truck and a ramen truck - others too, but those are the good ones. About 8 show up on Friday nights. If we eat here, it will be chef's salads.
