Making a quilt larger than the pattern

Post by judy2shoes » Mon Jul 06, 2015 10:33 am

Has anyone used Eleanor Burns quilt pattern, A Better Star for all Seasons? I want to make a queen size quilt and the pattern shows a lap quilt as the largest size. How do I figure out how to make it into a queen size quilt? This is only my 3rd quilt this size and would appreciate any help. Thanks

What is the individual block size? Just determine how many blocks you need per row and how many rows you will need to get the size you are wanting to make. Hope this helps.

Check with your fabric store, if they have free handouts about the size required, and calculate based on size of blocks.
