Supper club, June 27th, Saturday............News Flash!

I just read in the Sew In that our Mary is back home and having problems and a lot of pain....This can't happen to our Mary! Please keep her in your prayers and special thought....


Good morning from a very, very wet, soggy, dreary, SW. Pa...We are getting hit with rain, rain and more rain...Already the creeks are nearing their banks and it doesn't look good....Guess I won't be hanging sheets on the line today, lol.....

Just wish there was some way to send this "wet" stuff to the west...

What a difference, when you wake up to the sun shinning in the window, you feel like moving but to wake up to dreary, makes a person want to pull that cover up over your head....I can tell this is not going to be a very productive day.....Will get the basic uglies out of the way and then, who knows....
I'm working on 1 of the cross stitched wedding samplers so that might be a good way to spend the afternoon.....

As far as dinner, once again, that's up in the air...Last night we did have the burgers (Omaha) on the grill with sautéed mushrooms and a salad and it was so darn good...Tonight could be a pizza night but it will have to be delivery...I'm not going out in this weather..(Besides, the car is nice and clean and don't want to get it dirty)
And this could be a good day to rustle up some cinnamon rolls.....

I too saw that Fearless Leader is under the weather - lots of prayers!

Dinner tonight is BBQ - brats, hot dogs, potato salad, bean dip, fresh corn on cob, watermelon, baked beans and assorted goodies! 24 for dinner - enough for y'all too! Tomorrow is my cafe rio salads and then a ice cream party for about 70. Salads are just for the family - about 20 of us - the ice cream is the farewell party for Stu. I will be tired! My girls are helping alot with the food.

We are hot - the little grands will be playing in the water and with my sponge water bombs. I cut regular household sponges into strips and then tied them making a ball, that soaks up water to throw at each other. A perpetual water balloon fight. They have a blast!

Good Evening All....wall to wall sunshine again today.......

so sorry for being awol yesterday.....we visited the Bristol family ....Cindy took me to Ikea....my first trip......must go again....and again....and.....well you get the picture.....and then after leaving for home....we got caught up in a 2 hour traffic jam....not happy bunnies when we eventually got home.....hot and sticky....and worn out....with all the nuts on the road you have to be 2 steps ahead of them all the time.......how did they pass their driving test......or did they.....

so sorry to hear our fearless leader is in so much pain.....Maryz...hope its well and truly on the way out and you will soon be your bustling self again.....

ok....not a lot of time again today.....must get the binding on the baby quilt and post it off.....our 22nd great grandchild(a boy)arrived yesterday....mother and son doing well.....

we went out for breaky today so no cooking in the kitchen for me....unless you count the toast we had for supper.......

Slow day looks like.

Irish - we're pretty soggy here too. You usually get our weather a few hours after we do. It's dipped below 70 this afternoon and looks like more rain on the way.

Jana - I'll have to remember the sponge water bomb idea for when the grands are a little older. Sounds like a great idea.

Carol - congrats on the new addition. Love the babies and a good excuse for a quilt.

Grilled cheese for supper but blueberry cobbler for dessert. I canned blueberry pie filling and used the leftovers. Can't wait to eat that.
