Way to go Izzy!! I think I'll do 12, maybe....

I hear there will be more layouts for the Sampler quilt, so if you don't like the first one, make a single block anyway just in case! And of course, you can design you own!!

enjoy the show

Sally I had enough cut to make 12 too:) I am working on the pointy ones and leaf centers now:) I just love how they are turning out:)

If you make many a quick shortcut: cut 6.5 in strip by width of fabric then you can trace and use her cutting technique for the pointy ones but trace all the way across and cut two layers at once and end up with enough for 4 blocks:) Hope that makes sense:) I am not el in giving directions LOL

Izzy, I love the scrappy look. I think I may do the same, heaven knows I have scraps galore.

Lois, I often get to that point. I have some Moda in my room from when I first started quilting. I should see if it can be sold on ebay or something.

But I am trying so hard not to buy more fabric till this is all used up.

just throw it all in a bag and pull out one and thats what you use is my motto with this quilt. once you cut the blades the fabric looks so different anyway:)) good luck ladies and as I always say:

dont over think it:))

just have fun sewing it!!!

Izzy, I went ahead and used her instructions..knowing I would only make one Dresden for this quilt...(when I make more for another I will use her Egg Money way)..I was all ready to iron down the curves sand they are way too big...I went back and re read and rechecked and I am confident I did it all right...did anyone else have a problem with this?...there is no finagling them...and I am not going to waste time making more...I will just make a traditional circle and maybe fussy cut an appliqué for the middle of it. Sorry to sound so negative..either I really cannot think anymore or the template is off...either way I'll post a pic soon of what I have...as I won't redo it....Sonya
