Hubby in nursing home...again
I think I told you he had been in the hospital and they were treating him for acute renal failure,,,the hospital got him on the right meds to at least stabilize him, then sent him to our nursing homehere for rehab. He had gotten so bad he could barely walk. The nursing therapists whipped him into shape and when I would go visit he was pusing ME around in my wheelchair!!Well, they sent him home and he was able to go down the drivway for the mail, planted a few flowers and things were looking up.Now that he was better I was planning to go have my hip surgery.WELL, he was home four days, tripped over the door jamb, and fell and broke his hip.SOOO another week in the hosp, and surgery, now the nursing home again.Meanwhile our car needs repairs to the tune of over $600 ....not an option...anyway ,we need prayers as usual.Seems like we can't get a break except for a hip!!! I miss quilting, but the turmoil and depression has tahen a toll on me. I love my friends on here and miss them!!! Love,C.

CAroline, so saddened to hear of all your woes. Too much to handle all at once. But you are a master at coping and you'll weather this, too. But know I am keeping you and your hubby in prayers.

Caroline--so sorry to hear all you have been hit with at this time. I like Izzy's suggestion of having your surgery and you and your DH rooming together as you both rehab. I hope that things will soon be looking up!

Caroline, hopefully the nursing home will give him good care and alleviate much of your stress. But are you having to pay for his stay in home? How it works where you are.. We have to pay in Canada if placed in nursing home, price vary based on income, and pension plans.
