SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, May 28th
Good Morning, Supper Pals!
Today is my parents 81st wedding anniversary. They made it to 54 years before my mom passed away. I've always loved May 28th.
CHICKIE - rice can be sneaky! You have to watch it carefully or you'll be eating it for two weeks! lol! your cherry crumble sounds delish. I'm guessing there were few leftovers of that!
BECCA - we've had lightening strike very close to our car as we were driving. It's SCARY!
TINA - did you hear?? After tomorrow you have 75 days off!! 75 days!!
Well, I got a good start on the garage yesterday and hope to finish it today - at least MY portion of it. No way I'm touching DH's workbenches! He can do anything, and I love him for that. Anything except clean up his messes. so he has some serious work ahead of him. And when the garage is done, we'll take our dog and pony show out to the 24x36 foot shop. I've let him play out there far too long without a good cleaning and it's a mess, too.
This morning, I'll put my Jane photos up. At least I did get them taken yesterday.
Supper tonite - I've got the potatoes! I've got the cabbage! I've got some leftover keilbasa! There's onions, too! I'm thinking of just putting it all in the crockpot with some broth and there will be food later tonite. If I'm doing this wrong all you cabbage/potato eaters, tell me now!
Hope your kitchen experiments all turn out!
JANA - it must have been garage-cleaning day. It's slow going here!
IRISH - those windows are sure going in fast. When I'm spending that much, I want it to last a little longer! lol! No one thinks of tornadoes in PA, or in WA either for that matter. But they do happen.
JOANNE - lol! don't feel badly about posting on the wrong day - I posted the entire Supper Club over in the sew-in! lol!

LOL yes Mary 75 days!!!!!! 75 days!!!! LOL I'm glad you're as excited as I am
After I get my other 10 log cabin blocks finished I have to set that one aside because the peacock quilt has to be to my LAer by mid June, cause it's a king and she doesn't want to be rushed
I asked if Jazmyne can spend the night tonight, Holly said yes, now just gotta see if she wants to.....ha, that girl would live here if she could! We were ready to move her in last week, long story but let's just say I think things were taken too far. Frankie even said she could come live with us!
supper tonight.....let me see.....I think chicken and I'll make homemade mac n cheese just for her and salad
Tina

Good late morning from warm, sunny (most of the time), SW. Pa....Another warm, purrrrfect day, here in the east, although Joanne might not like it....
Mary, I think you're working that poor fellow way too much, lol...But, I know what you mean about their messes...When I walk downstairs and look at Jim's work bench, I shudder...BUT, that could be my next project so he'd better look out....
Sadly, my men have left me...I did tell them I'd like to adopt them and keep them here forever...AND I have windows that actually go up and down, with screens..I am 1 happy camper, I'll tell you...So, now trying to get everything cleaned and put back is my job, along with washing summer curtains...I swear, it's going to take me all summer to get done and then it will be time to start all over.....
Tina, I thought I was reading wrong when you said, 75 days...You should be excited....By chance are you a teacher? Enjoy having your time with Jazmyne....
For our dinner, I'm working on a plan...Jim has to do a funeral home visit and I'm thinking, he can stop and pick up something...Either that or left over beef tips and gravy with noodles....
Happy eating.............
Off to check out the photos......

Good afternoon everyone.Nice cloudy here.May get a shower I hope.Saves me watering.
Mary' z I would never try to clean DHs workbench or closet. He is a neat freak & very organized. Our DS is just the opposite but he knows where all his tools are & everything
Is where he can put his hands on.Total opposites.
Irish your Dinner plan sounds like a winner.
Tina Our DGS just about lived with us.They used to live below us & he was here more than home. Now he is in WA & oh how we miss him.But he calls & FaceTimes a lot.
Well another town day.So we picked up DH a sandwich & he found cream horns too. I will make me a t--a salad, grapes & yogurt.....Becca

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Thursday, May 28th
It’s raining, it’s pouring… just another day in Paradise… I was trying to exercise this morning and was working out on the floor. I got extra because Tinker Bell, afraid of the thunder, was trying to lay on top of me for her protection. She is such a big ole baby!
My cherry crumble didn’t work out. When I thawed the cherries, I didn’t like the look of them so they went into the compost bucket. Instead we had blackberry cobbler… way, way better! I usually pass on desserts… not this one!!! The good news is, I left some for this evening!!!
When I was at the store Saturday, I found a steak sale, so DH will have more steak tonight. I think I’ll do the awesome marinade again. Oh, yeah… rice for accompaniment… and salad.
Enjoy!

Irish, I'm not a teacher but my DD is
a kindergarten teacher LOL but I babysit her little boy, he's 1 1/2 and come October she'll be having another little boy. I'm very happy to have the Summer off
Becca, Jazmyne lived with us until she was 4.....I should say DD and Jazmyne lived with us LOL Jazmyne doesn't like to live at her house, she asks all the time to stay with us and has told me when she's big she's going to come back and live with us again ..... LOL it's great to be loved
I'm looking forward to being off from babysitting for the Summer but wouldn't like it if I don't see them for that long, bummer.

Good Afternoon!
Sarah has me chained to the sewing machine! I got the 80 blocks done - ready to sandwich with each other - some we had already sandwiched - a light and a dark block - sew those together and cut them in half and squared up too!Now I am waiting on her to come and mark and put together what color to what - so I get a break!
A yummy break too - we bought a cheesecake last night from Costco and so I am sitting here eating a piece - that will be my lunch and afters for tonight all rolled into one right now! LOL
Dinner - I am in the mood for chicken and dumplings - the fluffy ones - so DH will just have to tough it out and have that for dinner - he is not fond of dumplings.
Need to find my slippers - the floor is cold down in the Batt Cave!
Enjoy,
Jana
Mary - love Crazy Jane - she is a work of art!
