SUPPER CLUB - Wed, May 27th

Post by purrfect-lady » Wed May 27, 2015 4:04 am

Good Morning!

Today is my baby boy's birthday. The kid is 40! Now how did that happen? I'm going to call him in a while. Not sure he wants a phone call at 0630! lol!

I finished Crazy Jane last night! Whew! Those four years didn't take long at all! lol! Pictures will be coming later today or tomorrow. Waiting for better light.

I'm off to have labs drawn this morning and then to Tacoma to pick up Bill and Scottie. They are taking the pick-up in for some work. after that - I think today is cleaning the garage. Sigh. I've tried the 'wait and see if it cleans itself' method, but so far that's not happened. But it seems worth a try!!

Supper tonite - Bill says he wants burgers again. We have orange jello salad and I think there's still a little potato salad left. If not, we can have fries with that!

What's the plan for supper at your house?

Mary, your day sounds way too busy... better let the garage slide!

My rice last night kept getting bigger and bigger... kind of like your lentils. I had a package and thought it was too salty so I added more "plain" brown rice and some black rice, and broccoli and carrots (trying to get DH's veggies in there somehow). It is good and will be for a week! I might add broth to mine and have soup tonight. DH will have his with steak from last night. I'm also thawing the last package of cherries from the freezer... it's almost cherry time for this year--they are starting to blush on the trees down at the other end of the property. So, the cherries will probably turn into a cherry cobbler. I can make a batch of biscuits and save some for DH for breakfast and make the rest into the cobbler base by adding a little extra sugar and milk. That's at least the plan now...

We are going to be warm and sunny! Only a 20% chance of rain today. It tried yesterday... clouded up and looked stormy, spit a few sprinkles and dissipated. I have a feeling other areas weren't as fortunate. I feel so sorry for everyone south of us to have way too much water now. We need to figure out how to funnel it to California!

Good morning,

Michal is cleaning out our garage - building his shop work bench in the front and making room for his truck to live in there again. So he does basements too! LOL

Dinner will be chicken and dumplings and find a veggie too.

Enjoy,
Jana

Good afternoon from sunny, warm, Sw.Pa...For awhile, I wasn't sure if we would get sun or more rain but it's shining brightly now....
Jim is out, doing his favorite thing, mowing the grass...Our contractors are here and my house is a complete mess....The windows are almost done but there's still trimming and lots of extra stuff they want to do....When you get a job done as these guys are doing, the paying part doesn't hurt as much...Although, I did tell them, I could have bought 2 long arms for what we're paying them....And I also think my furbabies are going to need therapy....

Mary, I tried that "wait and see" method and it didn't work here either.....But, our garage isn't too bad..Now the basement it's self is another story, lol.....

Becca, we were supposed to get some of those storms but I guess they all decided to visit you...Gets a little scary when the lightening hits close....One of our men just told me about living through a tornado that touched that hit our area a few years ago...Said, they huddled in the basement and everything above them was blown away....Mother Nature does show her stuff every once in awhile.....

Our dinner, if and when it happens, might be beef tips, gravy and noodles...Will try to stick a veggie in there but Jim won't be too happy.....And, I finally did make cinnamon rolls last night, so that's our afters...........

Happy eating.................

Well, Earl is manning the grill right now! Pork chops, potatoes and onions, and a vegetable blend...all on the grill!

We're due for some rain/storms later...about 7pm. Had some yesterday, too. Hot and muggy....yuck!

Gosh Irish, I'd LOVE some cinnamon rolls......!!
