SUPPER CLUB -Monday, May 25th MEMORIAL DAY

Post by purrfect-lady » Mon May 25, 2015 2:51 am

Good morning!

I hope you all are enjoying this national day of remembrance. I know my sweet FIL would love to be toasted with a burger and a beer today. (especially the beer!) And I'm a good DIL and I can do that for him!

TINA - did you get to sew yesterday? You have a list, you know . . . I copied your cookie recipe from FB. Sorry you forgot to have your glass of wine. But not to worry! I drank a spare so I got you covered!

IRISH - Jane is coming along. I have the binding flipped and almost half sewn down. Off course, as soon as the cats see a quilt come out for stitching in the evening, they are both there, 'helping'. And this morning I see they both slept on it all night long!

HELEN - congrats on such an impressive weight loss. What an interesting life you've led!

BECCA - I agree! I don't think it's fair that if we look at a cookie, it goes to our thighs, but the men can eat the entire package and not gain an ounce!

JANA - how was the birthday party? We were originally planning to be in UTAH in early June, riding the Piaute Trail, but maybe it's just as well our plans got changed if you all are having such nasty weather!

Now on to supper! I think a traditional Memorial Day BBQ is in order. Burgers on the grill, potato salad, beans, and chips. And that beer for my FIL. And I better also have a glass of wine - for Tina, you know. Just in case she forgets again. . .

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!

Happy Memorial Day (even though I remember when it was the 30th)!

We will be working cattle pretty soon, so it will be left overs for dinner unless there is an impromptu cook out somewhere.

Good afternoon!

Thank you to all who served our country! They are heroes!

Mary - the party last night was fun! That was until we all sat down and put together a calendar of events that will happen between now and when Stu leaves on July 1st. Oh my - I may just run away and hide! LOL Most of it is happening at my house.

We have a graduation BBQ this Saturday - then I have the next Saturday, my Activity day girls luncheon with their moms, then the following Sunday a Eagle Court of Honor, then on the 28th of June Stu speaks in Church, that afternoon, there will be a Open House, here for all to come and say good-bye to Stu, then he leaves on the 1st of July. Oh, I forgot, we need to shop for all the clothes - suits, slacks, white shirts, ties and shoes for Stu. I am tired just typing it all! But I have done this all before, so I am not a deer in the headlights. Oh yes, Father's Day falls in there somewhere too. I am glad that it is all written down on a calendar. Y'all are invited!

Dinner - if I go and scrub up the BBQ grill, we will do chicken outside and a macaroni salad. We will have natural fireworks again this evening, so that will be fun! LOL

Enjoy,
Jana
