SUPPER CLUB - Sat, May 23rd

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat May 23, 2015 3:06 am

Good Morning, all y'all!

sorry I was so late yesterday. But I'm here on time this morning!

JO - congrats to your DGD! How special to be handed your diploma by your dad! (or is he her uncle?) Sorry your wrist is acting up with the RA.

IRISH - your yard must be a showplace by now! I think we should all meet there for lunch and give you some ooos and ahhhhs!

MARY R - you really had a summery sounding supper last night!

BECCA - we need to stop at your place, too, when we go on our garden tour!

JANA - I LOVE my crockpot! I cook turkey breasts in mine, too. They come out purrfect every time!

CHICKIE - chicken taco salad sounds good. Maybe we'll have that tonite . . .

yesterday I got my Jane almost half quilted. I might finish that today. It's going much faster than I thought it would. I plan to scallop the edges so it will take me some time to chalk my binding lines. I'll probably use a cereal bowl as my template. I'd use a saucer but my dishes have scalloped edges, too! lol!

Supper tonite - I think chicken taco salad is a good idea, but if DH prefers, it could be BBQ'd chix on a bun with salad. We already have the cooked chicken so whichever it is, it will be fast! My favorite meal! lol!

What's cookin' at your house?

Good morning from a very sunny but still kind of chilly, SW. Pa...Would you believe, they were calling for a frost last night and maybe again tonight....We sure did some scrambling to get the tomatoes covered and some of my flowers but the rest had to make it on their own..Happily, no frost and hopefully, none tonight but we'll see....

The sheets are on the line and the upstairs is done, most of the rest of the uglies are easy and then run the vacuum...Later we're making another trip to the cemetery to finish prettying it up and then on to buy more mulch and anything else that might look interesting....And I remembered, I didn't plant any beans, so that's also on the list..(gotta have something for the deer to munch on)....

Mary, The way you've been working in your yard, I'll bet it's purrrfect even if you don't have flowers.....I'd love to have you all come for lunch and if you're really lucky, there might be a weed or 2 that needs pulled...

Becca, I'd really love to see your yard, it sounds great....

Joanne, so sorry to hear about that dreaded RA...Is there anything that really helps? A neighbor of our's asked if I had seen his new toy...He got a new, light weight hot tub, put it on his patio and said, it's for his arthritis....

I don't think our dinner will be too exciting, especially if it's up to me to do the cooking....But, you all know how I plan my little shopping trips to include any type of "eatery" along the way...I have the car pretty much trained by now (working on Jim).....

Happy eating................

You are all so organized! I'm thinking here tonight it will be steak for DH with a baked sweet potato and salad. I might go for some of that chicken taco soup...
