SUPPER CLUB - Fri, May 15th

Good Morning!

Lots of singing birds this morning! I hope that's a harbinger of a nice day! I'm thinking there's a few hours of me being one with my yard this afternoon. We'll see what the sky does.

GENERAL LADY CAROL - thanks for getting the table set! Did you make it to the quilt show? How many days will it be there?

JOANNE - I noticed the mutiny! I'm late one day and you all sink into chaos and break the one and only rule of supper club! and I'm ashamed to say that even my own DH broke that rule last night at Tanglewood Restaurant. Bad DH!!

JANA - Any word on Stu's assignment yet? I keep checking!

VELDA - I think swapping out dishes for dancing is a great trade!

IRISH - Me? A kitchen mentor?? Can you hear my family laughing?? lol! Even I can't keep a straight face! So, who did the mower fit?

TINA - I may not be at the table, but I've still keep an eye on the goings-on here! Remember, I do know where you live! lol!

BECCA - and you are contributing to the deliquency here today! I think, though, if you send a couple of those donuts west, I could be convinced to look the other way . . .

Tonite, we have plans with two other couples to go eat with Warren at his Assisted Living place. But that may get cancelled. He had a minor surgical procedure yesterday on his eye. The dr told his DD no big deal, but he's not bouncing back very well, so we may it postpone it a week. In that case, it will be burgers on the grill for us with jo-jo fries and saute'd onions.

I hope everyone got their rebelliousness out of their systems this week and we can all settle down to normal macaroni and cheese now!

Dinner last night ended up being pizza and tonight will be soup - I hope!

banned food didn't happen after all here either, I ate with Jana Mary, remember Forghetaboutit Pizza? That's where we went, I hadn't been in over a year! Frankie even loved it, that's saying alot for my Italian husband LOL he's not a fan of Italian food! The sinful man! LOL well we are eating........ Food tonight

Good morning from sunny, getting warmer, SW. Pa....Another gorgeous day in the east.....

Gonna be real quick, Jim wants to take a trip to the nursery for flowers for the cemetery....

Mary, I did try the mower, I think I can "handle" it, maybe next week...Jim had the yard finished before it got here....I think I'd better rest up so I'll be able to do a good job.....

And as for our dinner, left over Chicken ala king that finally made it to the stove yesterday.......If not that, hot dogs on the grill.....OR, if I hold off going shopping until later, the car might just pull into a "eatery" along the way.....

Hello all, What a busy time it's been.

Yesterday I went to Drs office & got action on prescription.DH looks at it and it is 1/2 the milligrams he takes.He goes back inside to talk to nurse.She gives the spill Dr give her.He must take half at first .He took them for 15 yrs with no side effects. Dr has gone to pot here. Excuse me it is so frustrating when someone suffers like he does.Sorry I guess I had to rant.

We did visit DGD and got to play with Sawyer and Tallulah which helped a lot.So precious and both are always happy.Makes you feel good.Sawyer is 31/2 and Tallulah is 11 months.

After we left we went out to eat.DH had turkey and dressing with all the extra & chocolate pie. I had the salad plate with chicken & potato salad..

Mary z There is 2 donuts left so come on over.

Good Evening All......not raining!!!!!!

no quilt show again today.....Sir had a bad night with his Tinnitus...never mind.....the show is on until Sunday....and if its still a no go.....there is always another big one in August which I can do on a coach trip.....shame really because the "Malvern" one is my favourite.....so our "life savings".....or....."kids inheritance"(thanks Jana)is safe for just a little longer.....

spent a bit of time doing a "pouch" only 3 cock-ups....put the zipper in wrong way round.....the lining ended up on the outside.....then cut the zipper off on the wrong end.....so.....went back to my knitting.....know what I"m with that.....

and so to food......as Sir didn't want much(sigh of relief) we had...
Poached Eggs on Toast.....and Ice Cream for afters.....and we still have a pile to get through.....what was I thinking of!!!!!!to get so much.......

DH is getting steak tonight. He realized I wasn't feeding him enough beef... I think I'll have some soup I have made.

I need to clean my floors, but I want more to sew...
