SUPPER CLUB - Sat, May 2nd
Good Morning!
VELDA - I'm not sure if we're too early or too late for you! lol!
JOANNE - We go to breakfast every Sunday morning to the same place, but still I always sit there, menu in hand, taking forever to decide what I want. And almost always ending up ordering the same thing - 2 scrambled & hashbrowns. lol!
TINA - people always ask me how I can not like fish since I live in the PNw, where the fish live. But I can liken that to this: if you lived next to a garbage dump, you wouldn't want to eat the garbage, would you? To my palate, it's all the same! But I'm happy that you and Frankie got a laugh. How's your face feeling?
GEN. LADY CAROL - congratulations on your new little Princess! I bet they name her Mary!! Though, I think Diana would be even more purrfect. I was thinking a knave was a rascally sort of fellow. I hadn't thought of the Jack in a deck of cards. So how do you fix your eggs and chips?
JANA - loved the photos you posted of your new kitchen! So much more space! I wonder if you called that place in S.F. that makes the mole sauce, if they'd give you their recipe . .
BECCA - how big is your yard? I picture lots of grass, lots of evergreens and lots of old-fashioned flowering shrubs. Oh, and I put in some deer, too!
IRISH - did you get something to eat yesterday, dear?? I think we'd all have a big tureen of homemade soup and grilled cheese sandwiches waiting for you when you get home from being with your sis - if we could. But know we're sending you some cyber-comfort food!
No cooking here today. We're going to Seattle to the Sizzler REstaurant to celebrate DH's uncle's 80's birthday. There should be 12 adults and 4 kids. Uncle Ernie asked to go to this place, near his house, because there's a "little waitress" there who flirts with him. I hope she's on today! lol!
Hope you all have a Super Saturday Supper!

Good Evening All...our icy wind is now an icy breeze...with a hint of wet rain in the mix....
Yes we have a new Princess.....so the Election will no longer take first billing in tomorrows newspapers....thank goodness....so pleased its a girl....the couple now have a "pidgeon pair"....have no idea where that saying comes from....will have to do a bit of detecting.....but bets are now being taken on her name....Victoria...Charlotte and Alice....seem to be favorites....
Jana....I love your new kitchen....and when did Ethan get to be such a big boy....cant believe how the time has gone....love the photo of him and his "sister".....
Mary....Chip fried in chip pan....and Eggs are either fried or poached....some times its Oven Chips....but not often....Sir prefers them fried....not a lot of "healthy" living here.....
righty ho on to our next round....a College of Physicians...a Poverty of Pipers...a Troupe of Players...a Body of Police...a Safeguard of Porters...a Converting of Preachers...a Pontifica of Prelates...
a Discretion of Priests...a State of Princes...a Chapel of Printers...a Pity of Prisoners...a Pack of Rakes...a Set of Relatives... more tomorrow...
we went out for breakfast....because the May Fair was in the little market town we usually go to...we went further afield....only to find there was a May Fair there too...anyway...we did find our breakfast...and a quick trip a fabric shop...and then home via the scenic route....

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sat, May 2nd
Good afternoon,
Have the TV on waiting for the derby. Post time is in about 10 minutes - no way will I watch all the hoopla before.
Got the fabric I needed and a piece I didn't. It is quilters personalized license plates - it is wonderful - love the one that says "quilt with his $$$" or "Minne -sew-ta". The fabric line came from real plates as well as some made up.
Dinner - grilled burgers or grilled banned - green salad - we will see.
Mary - yes, we did add a cabinet by the window and where the pantry was. So now I have counter from the refrig all the way around to that Window. The island is much larger as well. The island moved closer to the refrig, giving us more space in the dining area. Also all the small cabinets with glass doors that go the the edge of the ceiling. They are all lighted to show off some "pretties". We also have undercab lights that are strips of LEDS.
Enjoy!

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sat, May 2nd
Well almost 4pm here and I spent 4 hours out back weed wacking (mowing grass where the push mower doesn't fit), mowing, pulling weeds, chopping weeds, raking, sweeping and watering and let me tell you I was one tuckered out person.....plus I think the heat got to me a little there towards the end......but.......my backyard is done again
) Came in and ate lunch then took Tylenol and a long soak in the tub
) I feel human again
) going into my sewing room now, I was too tired to do much till I rested a little.
LOL Mary, you're funny ;o)
Tonight are burgers on the grill and salad
) I cut my burger up and put it in my salad
) LOVE it! If no wind we'll be eating out under the gazebo again
)
Tina

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Sat, May 2nd
As usual, I'm always showing up after dinner!
Earl says it's the weekend..no cooking. So we went to the FeedMill...home cooking restaurant about 25 min. further into the country. We ate there alot before Mama's Grill started up.
Mary does that Sizzler restaurant specialize in the sizzler steak?? Is it a regular size steak or a steak that is thin and beaten like a cube steak??? The Feed Mill has a "sizzler steak" which is like a giant cube steak and it sizzles when they bring it to you. It has it's own particular flavor..but nothing like a "regular" steak. Earl and I really like them.
Well off to watch the Derby..then the Reds play at 7pm.
Have a good evening all!
Joanne
