SUPPER CLUB - Sat, April 25th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Apr 25, 2015 3:11 am

Where is April going?? The 25th already!! I hope you've gotten all your April things done!

Gen. Lady Carol - the one I don't get is a murder of crows. Whoever thought that one up??

Irish - I would like to skewer people who treat pets so abominably, With something dull and rusty.

Becca - Has your DH gone a visiting yet on his new ride?

Jana - I was thinking it was a diaper bag, but then I saw fussy cutting and confused myself. It's easy to do. Confusing myself, I mean.

Joanne - noodles are good anytime. I just need reminding now and then that they are in the pantry. As it turned out, DH rearranged everything anyway, so no noodles for us.

Tina and Chickie - Yoo hoo!! Supper's ready!

Last night I had a plan. The plan was pork chops. But they still weren't thawed come cooking time, and we ended up with tacos instead. DH was much happier, I think. But tonite - those chops will happen!

What's happening on your plate tonite?

Good morning -

Mary - I am easily confused - of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most!

Dinner - who knows - I did polenta and sauce last night for all the family - they will be here again, so it may be a pizza run! We will see!

Enjoy!

Good morning from chilly, dreary, damp, all of the above, SW. Pa....BUT, there is sun at the end of this dreary tunnel, I hope!

But, the day kind of fits the mood...Our Pgh. Penguins lost in the playoffs and are out of the race for the Stanley Cup, bummer.....

Mary, I agree about dull and rusty for people who abandon their animals, I don't care what kind of animal, take care of it or find it a better home....BP just went up a few numbers....

Our noodles didn't happen last night either...I had a part of a head of cabbage and did get it cooked for huluskie (sp) but never got to the noodle part...Made the chicken, which was good but did find a can of potatoes on the shelf and fried/baked those....But, I do agree, noodles are right there and I love, love them just buttered (lots and lots of butter)...

Jana, You're not the only person that misses the mind...I sometimes think mine has gone on vacation and won't tell me where....

Today is an ugly day but really not too bad....Can't be outside so I might have to play in the sewing room or find my book...Life is tough..But, I think I need to rest up for next week...DBIL is having surgery and it's going to be very hard for my sister so I'm being called into action....Not looking forward to the next couple of weeks....

Today being Sat. will be soup and sandwich day or if that doesn't suit, "get what you want"....But, I am baking pumpkin pies and that means, a visit from Dan, Kathy's DS...I just have to text, there's a pie in the oven with your name on it...As 1 of his Christmas gifts, I promised him a monthly goodie....

Hey, the sun just peeked out, so this is going to be a good day, chilly but good.....

Happy eating.................

Good Afternoon everyone,Glad someone else has memory problems.

Its been a part rainy ,sun some & now looks like storms are brewing.

MARYz DH has not had it out of the yard yet.I want him very familiar with all the workings & he feels the same.Today is not a good day for him either.Pain is worse.

DD facetimed this morning.Since we both have I-pads it is so much better. She gives us all the news on her family.DGD is being honored for receiving her National Certification .And DGS is going to some foreign land(forgot where) to teach a wk on his field of expertise.Quite a family she has.

Today will be Grilled chicken tenders, baked potatos, salad & ice cream.
Happy eating to all...Becca

IRISH DH would love your pumpkin pie.DD brought us pumpkin butter. It was very tasty.

We have NO sun today, Irish! The Reds are in a rain delay...it's pouring down and Earl and I have just snuggled in our own chairs watching between closed eyelids!

Have no idea about dinner...I have some salad prepared and waiting...maybe some chicken in the oven and who knows what else!

My golf tournament is in a rain delay and so is the Cubs VS the Reds game. So have to find something else to watch. Think I will put in my DVD of Sound Of Music. This is the 50th anniversary of the movie. I am old enough to have seen it in a theater when it came out. We actually had to go to Fort Wayne to see it because a movie like that did not come to my hometown of Bryan, Oh. Boy how times have changed. I have my own copy of it. It is a favorite of mine. I love movies. Looking forward to next weekend when the new Avengers movie comes out. that is the type I really like.

Think for supper I will make a Chef Boyardee pizza with everything but the "kitchen sink" on it. That is still my favorite pizza.

Hi friends.

I am back. Should have posted yesterday, but didn't get on until so late, none of you would have been reading the menu, anyway. LOL

We got our "house" back. Brakes are FIXED!!!! yippee. But...... we have one more thing that we are waiting on. We found a faded spot on the front cap. (It's a dark chocolate color). Dealer is getting an estimate and then approval from Jayco. Once that is set, we have to take the unit in once again, this time for about two weeks. Our poor son will be stuck with us again for awhile. He's so great about it all.

Needless to say, I will be very careful about how much grocery I keep on hand in our frig and all. Only buying a few days at a time until we know what it up for us.

Tonight we are having a simple Hamburger Helper dinner that we both love. (Cheesy Hashbrown) I will fix a salad, and maybe the mug cake that I make in the microwave. ( You are all familiar with the 1-2-3 cake, aren't you????) If not, I will share the recipe with you.

Hugs to all of you.

I'm here :-) we had chicken with enchiladas last night because the wind was blowing too hard to grill out and DD and the kids wanted to eat here so I stretched the chicken I had thawed out. I'm still not feeling good, my face hurts on my right side from the fever blister, I have a Dr's appointment Monday if it's still bothering me.....my jar, cheek, ear, temple, chin and neck hurt.....sadly it feels like it might be the start of shingles, please pray that it's not, I had shingles around my side a few years ago and oh my I hurt so bad I cried.
I don't have a clue what we're eating for supper tonight, something that doesn't have to be chewed much would be preferable.
Tina
