SUPPER CLUB - Tuesday, April 7th
Happy Tuesday!
Yesterday was monumental for me! I finished my last Jane block! I had so many scraps of fabric laying around that I was working from, that then I spent 2 hours just cleaning up that mess so I'd have space to work today when I sew my last two borders together and then onto the quilt. Yay! Time to figure backing and and a quilting pattern. DH is standing by, quilting frame ready to receive. I'm not sure what to do now that Jane will no longer be a part of my active sewing life! Though I do have my eye on the quilt on the cover of the latest issue of American Patchwork and Quilting in 30's fabrics. . . . Anything with 30's fabric calls to me.
But I digress...
JOANNE - did you go to the airport restaurant? Or did Earl convince them CB was the way to go?
TINA - So fun to have little ones at your table! I miss that. I think Daisy is a terrific name for a baby bunny! If Scottie had been a girl, he might have been Daisy.
IRISH - Well, you did a lot of celebrating, didn't you! I bet Jim was happy about that! sounds like you can be "off the cooker" for days and still eat well!
BECCA - so who won the Basketball game? I'm a terrible sports fan. I've been looking forward to baseball's opening day for weeks, it was yesterday, and I forgot all about it!! I wanted to listen while I sewed. But I saw on the news that the Mariners won even though I had my head down.
I'm thinking of trying that cauliflower pizza crust tonite and see how it goes. How bad can it be?? Don't answer that! Stand by for a report!
Hope the report on your supper is a good one!

Good morning from warm but rainy, SW. Pa...I knew it would rain today because of those windows I had washed yesterday, never fails.....
But, today is a nothing day....
Mary, really anxious to hear how the pizza turned out...Always love to be daring.....My sister's furbaby is named Daisy, love that name....
We're leaving soon to get Jim stitches removed, then on the the dreaded Comcast place to exchange a box (oh how I hate Comcast), and then stop at Altmeyers for new bathroom rugs (Jim doesn't know I threw in that stop) and THEN lunch......Of lunch in between but there had better be lunch somewhere in the stops....
So, that means, I'm "off the cooker" again today and as Mary said, could be for days......Really could get used to this way of "non cooking".......
And, by the way, Joanne's Reds beat up on our Pirates yesterday but we'll get even, I hope.....
Happy eating................

Good morning,
Let's see - it was opening day, yesterday for BASEBALL! WHOO HOO! Happy camper here - my World Series reining champs played and won. Also between innings, I peeked at the NCAA championship basketball game - sure was hoping that Wisconsin would pull off the win, but they didn't. Duke won. So for baseball, it is one down and 161 left to play! LOL
Dinner tonight will be in the crock pot - I will do up a pot roast. BIL arrived in the middle of the wee hours of the morning. He will be with us today, then up to Park City for a business seminar. He has a brother that lives across the valley from us and will visit with him, then we take him to the train again, Saturday night - very late. Michael and Jim will have a blast together. Jim is a model railroader too.
Well I ned to get a pair of pants hemmed for a friend -
Enjoy,
Jana
Mary - sorry - I am foggy brained - congrats - a huge congrats on completing Jane. That is a accomplishment. I saw the quilt on the cover of that magazine - after Jane, that will be a piece of cake!

Yesterday was good and bad...Duke won (bad) but the Cincinnati Reds won (good)...yep, Irish, those Pirates usually do get even! lol! Our Reds had the very first professional baseball team...1869..that's why it's a really big deal here on Opening Day. I do love to watch baseball.
We ended up at the Sky Galley last night for dinner...it was pretty good, but Earl's brother couldn't eat his cod...it was too dry...so the "boys" discussed it and we marked that restaurant off our list...mainly because it's too far to drive for all of us.
Tonight will be Mama's Grill...
Warm and raining! Get ready Irish...rain is coming!
