SUPPER CLUB - Happy Easter!
Good Morning!
Last night my Sis-I-L called and invited us to Easter dinner. Since we had no other plan, Bill accepted and let me know later. I'm supposed to take au gratin potatoes. Bill asked what time and SIL said she didn't know. Also, she didn't tell us if I'm cooking for 4 people or 16. I have 6 shriveled potatoes in the pantry. I hope at least one of the grocery stores is open this morning. If push comes to shove, I can cook and shred the potatoes I have and combine them with frozen shredded hashbrowns and cross my fingers.
You know, I'm actually a pretty fair cook as long as I don't try to cook things I can't spell. But it seems that whenever I try to make something for my SIL, it turns out awful! Wish me luck!
Wishing you all all a very joyful Easter celebration!

Happy Easter-- I'm winding down to everyone getting here around 10 today. I'm thinking dinner will be pork chops with fried apples and broccoli on the side. Sorry I can't sit and sip my coffee, but there's my stove calling me...
MaryZ--Do they eat Latkes (darn spelling! -- Jewish potato cakes) for Passover? You could make those for your dinner for Easter. I just make things I can't spell--we make a great "Team Cuisine"! Go for the frozen hash browns in your au gratin potatoes... that's just a fancy name for bread crumbs on top!!!
Happy Easter to All!

Happy Easter everyone! The sun is shining and it will be in the mid-60's this afternoon...beautiful day.
Today is leftover Easter from yesterday...good for me, no cooking. Some of the family will be back after church to help clean up the leftovers.
We had 33 yesterday..some were missing.
Mary, that's kind of scary that your SIL doesn't know what TIME! lol!
Everyone enjoy your day!
Joanne

Good morning,
Mary - frozen hash browns work great for au- gratin potatoes. AKA - aunt Sarah'salad.
2 cans cream of chicken soup - undiluted
16 oz sour cream
3 or 4 green onions sliced
Mix that all together and then stir in a bag of frozen hash browns. Add shredded cheese to your hearts desire snd bake at 350 for 30 - 45 minutes. Voile!
I will be making that, except I will use fresh cooked potatoes and cube them, then follow that same recipe. Many people call them funeral potatoes too.
Dinner will be at Matt-s tonight. I am also taking fresh asparagus.
Happy Easter!
Enjoy,
Jana
