Re: LUB WEEK 6
Honey--I did EXACTLY the same thing on cutting the paper pieced block last week or the week before! Thought I was being so clever trimming my seam allowances... DUH!!! Was I ever mad at myself!!! It doesn't hurt so much now to know I'm in good company with you! Your blocks are beautiful--your blue really sings and sparkles, and I love it!!!
Joan, I love your blocks, too. I have the same blue you used in your broken path block. I'm going to use it in my Farmer's Wife blocks.
This is so fun to see everyone's blocks!

O Honey I have done that several times not on this quilt but I have done it. I had a very good paper piecing teacher and he laughed his fanny off when I done it. LOL

Took my time..UGH!..Constance's Pride is about an 1/8th inch bigger then 6.5" square..not too worried as I can fit it in..otherwise I really loved how they came out..the fabric in the outside triangles of it..and in the center of the Friendship Square is vintage fabric passed down from my Grandma Page..
..Not much of it..but a bit more to use in a few other squares..
.I do love that Kansas City Troubles line, Miriam..
..I will be Editing to add my Broken Path shortly..
...Sonya..

Finished my blocks tonight! Had some trouble with Broken Path...came out too large. Unsewed the outside triangles and cut down the middle section and resewed. Much better. Sure wish Eleanor wrote this book...the patterns would be so much easier! LOL
I just love everyone's blocks so far. Here are my blocks for this week:

Mel—your blocks are wonderful! I, too, had problems with Broken Path—too large. I thought it was just me, but now I think it’s the directions. It would be nice if some places they could tell us what the measurements are within the blocks… such as “square to (blank inches)”.
Sonya—your blocks are beautiful! They do remind me of my grandma. I used to have a box of her quilt pieces and her scissors.
Katy—so glad Honey and I are not alone… sigh!

So agree with you on the measurement at each step.
I like that they are small and quick in the cutting out - but getting them to 6.5 is the challenge.
love all your blocks

Mary, I love your blocks. The fabrics you are using really work well on them.
