I'm just using scraps or whatever I have in my stash for this project too. The smaller blocks really make that easier.

Working on the Delaware block - last one. Y-a-y! I'm done with this week's blocks. Everyone's blocks are gorgeous and will make a very nice quilt. HAPPY DANCE FOR US!!!

All my blocks will be scrappy, as I have a lot of CW prints that need to be used. Some store was going out of business and they had all the CW prints 90% off for fq's. I bought all she had, and got an additional 5% discount for buying all of them. Now, many years later, I'm finally using them.

Hope I did this right - photobucket has changed a bit. Today is the first day into my sewing room after being sick with the terrible cold going around. This seemed like a fun small project to do and it was. Had a bit of trouble making the last block be 6.5 - but other than that it was fun. Also using my scraps.

love all the blocks you all have done.

JOAN, I just couldn't find your mistake! I looked and looked! either it was very small, I'm blind, or you got it fixed and reposted in short order.

TiNA - I LOVE your color combo! Can't wait to see them in real life - TOMORROW!

HONEY - what a bargain you got! Any more off and they'd have been paying YOU!

SUSIE - I agree - after doing my Dear Jane, I finally got the hang of doing smaller blocks - but not until AFTER I'd trimmed several of my blocks to 4-1/2" instead of 5"!! Argh!! how did you survive the flooding in Aberdeen and Hoquiam?

SONYA - I did my Jane just like you - whatever scraps I had in my scrap bin, I used. It turned out great. I sashed it in 1" black.

MEL - so glad you are sewing again!

MARY - love your color scheme - gentle elegance.

It seems I can't stay away from this sew-along! Sorry! I'll go away now, but probably not for long!

Mary Z - we are high and dry but not so for many people we know. The flooding was terrible! These blocks are so great! I had to laugh about you trimming your blocks. When I was doing the SBS quilt I finished up my first three blocks and immediately whacked them to 6 inches! They were suppose to be 6 1/2 inches. I about quit right then and there! My SBS I just stitched in the ditch and now I am adding a little hand quilting in each block. I had never done a sampler , had never paper pieced or even used templates. Believe me ladies, doing these blocks will take away any of your fears about these methods. Except for appliqué..... I still don't feel comfortable with that! LOL
