SUPPER CLUB - Wed, Dec 3rd
Good Morning!
Where was I yesterday?? I guess I was all caught up with the fur-drama going on here. Most of the 'action' seems to have died down now. Still some growling and hissing if tails touch, but we all had a very quiet night. And we all slept on the bed in our own spots without losing any eyes. There is hope!
We went out to supper last night with several other couples from the campground. Just to a soup/salad buffet place. One of our favorites.
Tonite we're having pancakes. With crumbled, cooked bacon and shredded cheese in them (my mom's 'supper pancakes'). And an egg, each. Over easy for DH and scrambled for me. Sliced tomatoes on the side. Will be an easy night!
Hope your supper is easy, too!

I knew you weren't starving, Mary! lol! Me neither!
Today I go with my friends to Maysville, KY to shop at Wal Mart and eat at the buffet!!! Whooo Hoooo! So that means that poor Earl will have to scrounge for lunch and hopefully we will go to Mama's Grill again tonight for dinner...I'm usually so tired from shopping and visiting all day that I don't want to think about cooking.
The Trains of Williamsburg Christmas Walk is on Friday night. Earl will take his trains and layout to the Insurance office on Thursday afternoon and hopefully I will make some baked goods for sale at the Administration Office. Busy week.

Good morning! I didn’t get here yesterday, either. I was sewing, but that doesn’t mean we didn’t eat. We had ham/cheese grilled and soup. I have a feeling it will be the same tonight. We are still working our way through the ham. One of these days, we’ll have ham and beans and corn bread but not yet.
MaryZ—glad you had a quieter night! I like the soup/salad—that’s where Shelly and I went last time I went to see her. Yum! I like your pancakes!
Joanne—glad to hear you are still making your KY trek! I like the idea of going out—my favorite thing to make for dinner is reservations! Enjoy the festivities! Every week is busy until after the first of January.
Carol—it’s good to still get to see some of your bus friends! Too bad the bus rides ended. I gave MaryZ the pictures you sent so she could enjoy them, too.
Enjoy today!

Good morning,
Turkey is done, kaput and out of the refrigerator! So tonight is something new without it!
I am leaning toward a white soup that will remain nameless, but sure tastes yummy with cornbread and honey butter.
Mary - glad that it is calming down with the furbabies. Fur flying is not good! Perry and Sarah's cat tolerated each other at a distance when we stayed with them. Perry just hung out in the upstairs bedroom, where his food and box were, he didn't come out ery often.
Well, time to get sewing,
Enjoy,
Jana

Good late afternoon from cold, dreary, SW. Pa...When I say cold, that means anything below 75 and today it's only 40, so that's COLD!.....
Oh Mary, how I remember the days when a new fur baby would adopt us...My Clancy really didn't like sharing his "mom" especially at night and poor Kaylee just wanted to be close and loved...I swear, every night, it was a race to see who could be 1st in the snuggle spot...Clancy has been gone almost 3 years and there are nights when I still feel him in my arms with his paw on my cheek.....What would we do without out fur babies and all the memories.....
But, when are we going to see Foxtrot???Anxiously waiting for a picture......
Chickie, reading about your ham has made me very hungry...I really do need to put it on my list....
Joanne, so glad to see you're still making those trips....Nothing better than a day out with friends, and then to add lunch, life it good!
Becca, Red velvet chocolate cake! What a lucky, lucky hubby...
Carol, did you plan this trip around the "fabric shop" or is that just by chance???? Rice pudding, that's another thing making me hungry, haven't had that in quite a while.....
Well, our dinner is kind of boring....Don't look Mary, but I'm having baked "mac n cheese" fillets and scalloped potatoes....And I'm not allowing Jim to see what Becca baked, he'll just have to be satisfied with apple squares......
Happy eating.............

Using my crock pot today. This is our sewing/craft day.
I had an email from Betty Crocker site for a crock pot meat loaf.
So I am giving it a try.
I am going to do hashbrowns with it, salad, vegi, and some left over cake for dessert that was in the freezer. My piece of cake needs to be tiny. I have to stay away from sweets, but I will allow myself a small piece tonight.
I got some more quilted on my friends quilt. The progress is slow, but I will get it done, if I just keep plucking away at it.
Hope you all have a great evening. Good luck with the new baby, Mary.
Hugs
