SUPPER CLUB - Tues, Sept 9th
Our house is 80% back together again. Yay! We were so grateful to our SIL, Lee, and DGS, Drew for carrying the office furniture for us. We just couldn't do that ourselves. Now only little stuff left. Hope to take it a lot easier today as tonite we start our ballroom dance lessons. Not to mention it's a 90-mile round trip for the 1-hr lesson. I love dancing but not sure this will be worth that. Stay tuned!
A crock-pot thought - have you all tried the crock-pot liners? They are located with the plastic wrap and foil, etc. They are a wonderful luxury. Cook your supper, lift out the liner, throw it away, and put your pot back in the cupboard. Very nice, especially in the RV. They cost about $2.50 for a box of 4 liners.
Somewhere we have to fit in supper. What to do, what to do. Maybe some grilled chicken, mashed new red potatoes, and green beans. Or a salad. Or skip the potatoes and do both veggie dishes . . . I got some canned green beans at Costco - Kirkland brand. I'm not a big fan of green beans in general, but have to admit, these are the best I've had. I doctor them a bit and they taste like my mom's cooking! So if you can't go fresh, they are a good sub. Just my opinion. And I AM the queen, right?
And speaking of queens, Kate is pregnant again! Congratulations, CAROL!! but I never caught the due date.

Good morning! I have been out to the freezer and got a package of "DB". That's DH's shorthand for deer burger or venison burger. I'm not crazy about it, so he may get it in something, and I'll have soup. I'll call mine "meatless Tuesday."
I wish we had a Costco closer. I went once with my aunt in CA, and again with my sister in KC. I was pleased with everything that I purchased on the KC trip. I've always heard good things about the Costco private brand items.
I've never used the liners. There were times I wished I had them.
I saw where Kate was expecting again. "It's very early..." was all I heard. The let it out because of her extreme morning sickness in case she had to make a quick exit from someplace.

Good morning,
It's Tuesday, must be Red's tamale day - old advertising jingle I grew up with - but since it is activity day, it will be chicken from Popeye's.
Time to cook breakfast - one wants eggs and the other want buttermilk pancakes, can you say short order cook! LOL Both are spoiled! With love thatvis!
Enjoy,
Jana

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Tues, Sept 9th
Good early afternoon from partly sunny, not real warm, Sw. Pa...It's been chilly at night, in fact, for me, flannel PJ weather....That electric blanket might come out of hiding sooner than usual....
Mary, so glad you had help...I can hear the sigh of relief way over here in the east....So now that the house is all new, what ever will you do with your time??? I keep thinking I'm going to get those pot liners but the only time I think of them is when I'm throwing things in the pot.....
I'm not a member of Costco but I sure do love their store....I go with a friend who has a big van and it's usually packed full when we get home....We especially like the samples..You can have a whole meal just by sampling.....
Carol, I can imagine everyone across the pond is so excited...Here on this side, we're excited! I just keep thinking of Di and how proud she would be of her sons....
I think I've missed 2 days but sure didn't miss any meals....Sunday, of course that's breakfast and then pick all day...Yesterday was lunch with my gal friends and we sat for 2 1/2 hours, gabbing and eating Chinese...So for Jim's dinner, it was grilled cheese and home made tomato soup.....
As for today, it just might be spaghetti and meatballs...I found a package of meatballs in the freezer so it should be a easy peasy dinner.....With the Fall like weather, I might even bake a Gingerbread......Jim will be in shock, I haven't baked for about 5 days.....
Happy eating............

Re: SUPPER CLUB - Tues, Sept 9th
Good evening All.....ok so the sun was shining....but that was later......it was bl...y chilly though when we set off for Aber.....we beat the bus by an hour and coming home by over 2 hours.....but we did miss our bus mates....(went by car with my friends across the way).....
Maryz going to look out for those liners..though since I have been spraying the slow cooker with ONE CAL Arasol(sp) its been a lot easier to clean.....think I may even try the Jacket Potatoes....if I can find the large Potatoes.....
Irish.....we only heard about Kates pregnancy early because she had to pull out of an official engagement.....the baby is due....I think....in April 2015.....and although there is some reporting.....at the moment most of the reporting is about the SCOTLAND "YES/NO" vote......
very soon it will be time for my CSI telly prog... so I will love you and leave you with todays menu.....
Home Made Beef Onion and Mushroom Pie....New Potatoes....Carrots and Peas......Stuffed(with dried Cranberries and Brown Sugar) Baked Apples and Custard for afters.....
