Good morning! Well, I'm down a little from last week. Still not down to where we started several weeks ago. I think this is the first time I haven't gained.

Sooz--that calls for a celebration! Cheers!!! Go to the quilt shop for a jelly roll, not the bakery!!!

Chriss--I WISH it was muscle. I'm pretty sure it's not by the way my clothes are fitting. Have you thought about your wedding dress yet?

Carole--I think quilt camp would be hard to not partake. I'm sure everyone had M&M stashes for after hours.

Katy--hope it rolls off quickly! I always seem to need "road food" when I'm on a trip. It's usually not carrots and celery, either. (Chocolate!) Sigh! Wait! Is there such a thing as chocolate covered carrots???

Tina--you are an inspiration!

I'm hoping that since the doctor found I was pretty severely anemic and put me on iron supplements that I'll quit being cold, tired and hungry. Maybe I'll actually feel like doing something other than being a lump, and I'll be able to cut down on the carb craving. I think I might crave them for warming me up--comfort food. I get tested the end of November to see how the iron is working. It would be nice to be warm without being the Michelin Mamma.

Think I am doing okay. Looks like if I have a gain tomorrow, it will be a small one. Gotta be good today!!!!

Down again! 30.8 total!

The new WW unveiling is Dec first... So far, I like how the focus has changed.

SoozG you will have to tell us about the changes. I think they change things every couple of years to keep people interested. I would love to go back to WW, but we travel too much and I refuse to pay $13.00 a week if I am not there. Oh well. That is why I go to TOPS. At least it is an official weigh in. Makes me responsible.

The focus is now on behavioral changes, not dieting. Allows you to get to the root of why you overeat and helps you take the power back over food!

Sooz, this link is to a book called Women, Food and God. it talks about the emotional side of food and how to break it... I really learned a lot reading it. I found mine at a book sale but maybe Amazon will have a cheap copy. I wish I had the audio version of it to play on my way to work. I also wish I had some of her other books.... a huge congrats on over 30 pounds.

Valerie and Becca, kudos on your loss..

Katy, Chickie is right about road food... so hard to go where they serve French fries and order salad...lol

Chickie. what caused your anemia? hope it all gets fixed.

Carole, I have tried WW and Atkins and South Beach. I think Sooz is onto something about the WHY more than the what we eat. another thing is eating only when we are hungry and quitting when we are full.. I have a hard time with that...

you all keep up the good work.

I am down 1 more pound!! WooHoo!!! I really worked hard since camp to get the extra goodies off those hips of mine. Had a wonderful speaker today. One of gals got up and gave a heart felt lecture on how she lost her weight. over 80 lbs. Her favorite saying is "we are like dynamite. The power is inside us and the explosion will not occur until we light the fuse." I hope I can light the fuse this week on this long journey we are on.
