Looking for pattern for a Carpenter Wheel (Star) using Log cabin blocks

Does anyone know of a pattern that uses a Log Cabin block to make a Carpenter Wheel or Carpenter Star pattern? I found a picture in an old 1989 Stitch N Sew Quilts magazine. It shows the quilt but does not give any yardage or instructions.

OR can you tell me how I can figure out the yardage to make a queen or king size quilt.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think I have seen it either. It does sound very pretty. Could you get the idea for yardage by looking at log cabin books and the sizes and then add a bit more just to be safe?

Could you use a logcabin pattern block that is the size of a Carpenter square piece, then assemble it as the Carpenter Star? I have never seen it, but itsounds very pretty.
