Good morning,

DH and I have been out grocery shopping, it is the caselot sale, well, I was planning on waiting until the storage room was back in order, DH thought otherwise, so now we will be heading off to Lowes to get the shelving, so I can put it all away. I will enlist Stu after school today to carry it all down there for me.

Rained off and on, all day yesterday, and we woke up to a couple of inches of snow this morning. Beautiful puffy white clouds in the sky now, but Conference week-end is almost here and it always snows on Conference!

Not much going on here. FIL, is having many memory problems and it is so sad to see in such a brillant man. Some of your electronics that you use, he holds the patents on.

Hugs and prayers,
Jana

Went for my appt. and brought home book copy for book club to read this wknd. It's slush buckets are falling, which is washing away the ugly snow.. Back home ktn searches my bags, for it seems always a present for furball when I return. He gets excited when I come in the door.. Found him some toy mouse, he loves throwing in the air...

I get to snooze, isn't that crazy at my age such habit.. Then, we can tackle another round of chores or sewing, reading.

Chickie - We stay at the RV park in Louisburg. The in-laws live just west of Olathe.

I just posted my sample of window pane blocks on the birdhouse thread. Would appreciate opinions.

Break time been sewing all day on Mystery borders shew they went together easily just a lot of squaring up to do that took so long. Helps to change rotter blade every now and then too. LOL I did and was amazed how much less pressure I had to use hee heee blonde moment again.

I posted pic under the mystery block thread in swaps. Please go look and tell me how wild it is. So out of the box for me to be so colorful YIKEs. I do love this line of fabric though.

Izzy

Going to pull fabrics for SBS blocks now:) Raining still lots of storms wish I could bucket it up and ship to CA I dread my produce being so high this summer due to drought. I got milk so no worries there. So much that I had to buy a separator for cream. Manually doing it took too long and fridge is getting full of jars, bowls, pitchers anything that will hold milk. :))

If your doing april lotto check out my question so I can start or change fabrics:)) Im headed to hancocks tomorrow:))

I have worked on 2 of the 3 memory quilts for my friend. I had used the wrong fusable interfacing. It was too heavy. So, I heated it with an iron and took it off. Perfect timing, the backing came today. We went to the chemo dr today and Monday hubby has to have a pic line put in. The chemo will be delivered that way. Tomorrow is radiation measurements. The next few days are busy. But both of hubby's doctors are very optimistic about the cure rate. So that makes us feel some better. Well, I better go. Going to get another tattoo.

I made waffles this morning in my new waffle baker. Oh, they could be addicting! I need to put a lock on it and use it for special occasions. Afterwards, we rode all the trails and checked the cows on the way back. We have another new calf--#12. I saw several clumps of Dutchman’s breeches in bloom, a dogtooth violet, and May apples starting to come up. In a few days, all the wildflowers will be in bloom. The wild plum trees are in full fragrance—like a heady perfume. I made DH stop so I could drink it in.

Suzette—what motif are you getting? Good job of getting the interfacing off the fabrics! Such good reports for your DH! Best wishes to you both!!!

Izzy—I love those fabrics! I don’t know what you are talking about being too bright. Watch your fingers after changing your blade! All of the rain and storms went around us. My flowers and garden would really like an inch of rain—hold the hail!

Lyn—you probably go up I-35 to Olathe? I live just west of 59 in the SE part of KS. We are about 100+ miles south of Olathe and 120 miles east of Wichita just off of 400 (east-west highway). Stop by if you come this way! I’m going to do attic windows with the birdhouses for my DD. She was wanting my turquoise and brown fabrics, and I think I’ll use those for the window frames and “shop my stash”. I’ll probably look for something “birdy” for the backing. I like your white to separate the blocks. Do you mind if I use your idea?

Scrap—aren’t pets fun! My dogs check my bags, too.

Jana—it is so difficult watching the elderly decline. We went through that with MIL and my aunt. I’m so thankful Mom is so sharp yet.

Irish—we were afraid you’d gotten locked in the closet! I had those closets for my fabric storage at the other house—what a job to find my stash! I’m the same way when there is a trip to the lumberyard or hardware store—bring it on!

Sharona—I’m just amazed at the thought of snow… 7” of it! Crazy!!! I have seen it snow that much here in April, so I should be quiet. Please, no snow here!!!

Florence—I’m sure you’ll miss your sister. What block are you making for your swap? I’m so sorry for all those families at Ft. Hood. Give your son a hearty thank you for his service!

Vicky continues to have much going on in her life and family. Please remember her with your prayers.

I’d like to sew, but I think I should walk out and help DH with the brush stacking from his latest tree felling. This is really cleaning up the area while making wildlife habitat. I need to work off my waffles… yes, plural. I told you they were addicting!

Enjoy your afternoon and evening!

Just want to pop in and say HI!!! We are back at our campground safe and sound, but soggy, soggy, soggy!!!

We could not get on our own site, so they owners put us on an over night site for a few days, until they can get there bobcat out to put more gravel to fill in the ruts from when we attempted to back into our site and onto our cement platform blocks.

With all the snow and now rain, the ground is just soaked!!! More rain all day today and tonight. two days to dry a little and then more rain to come.

This is typical for Spring, and it will get settled down eventually.
Just hard to be patient!

So busy today. Maybe I can catch up tomorrow and read all your posts.
