Good Morning Everyone Happy Friday,

Today is Friday and now I know what everyone thinks about Friday.

Yesterday I got a surprise in the mail really it came Wednesday but was not home so my DH went to the post office and it was from Tina
she sent me my winnings from the contest guess Baby Eastons birthday now when I come home and I can figure out why I cant post pictures from photo bucket you might be able to share my surprise.

Yesterday we were told we got another week at the training center Yeah that's what I wanted.

Well I have to go make lunch get another cup of coffee.

Good morning Lois and those that come later.
Well, I never made it out to my studio yesterday. I was so busy at work yesterday. They are getting the guys vans ready for the summer cooling season. Still no word on the results from hubby's PET scan. The dr has the results but has not signed off on them. So sometime between yesterday and Monday we will know. Doctors need to go through the waiting to see how it feels. I am sure they don't wait like their patients do. Let me get off my soapbox. Today I am meeting a friend for lunch. Then I will get out to my studio. We have found out that hubby's nephew and his wife are having a little girl the end of July. They want us to be god-parents of the baby. Her name will be Lilly Hayes. Lilly is from the mom to be's side of the family and Hayes is from the father to be's side. I can't wait. Another girl quilt. Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning!

LOIS - congratulations! And I am happy to say that I got to meet Baby Easton in person! What a sweetie he is with the biggest blue eyes. And such soft baby cheeks! Glad you got your extra week of training!

SUZETTE - I'm with you on that business of making patients wait so long for their results! It's cruel. I'm kind of a mind that if they don't call immediately, then the news isn't so bad. But I don't think that's always the case anymore. DH has a great doc. A urologist. He went on vacation out of the country after DH's prostate biopsy. His office was supposed to call us. When the doc called his office to check on things, he learned no one had called Bill. He called us himself at 8pm and apologised and talked for quite a while. THAT'S a good bedside (or countryside?) manner!

We have another 350 miles to my sister's today. I've been hand stitching quilt labels as we roll. I have five tops at home and four with me, so I've been busy. Tonite we'll be at younger sister's for supper. It's going to be a busy weekend!

not a lot of time this morning.. I need to go in an hour early to get to a doctor appt...so I am going to try to comment on yesterday as well as today.. here goes

Jules, phew, what a week.. glad your sis got to talk.. I hope it really helped her and thrilled you found the right doc.. hugs to Charley, hope she feels better.. sounds like everyone could use a vacation

Maryq.. I so hope that apartment opens up for roomie today.. stand your ground.. only a week or so left...freedom.. woo hoo

Chickie.. I always forget pictures too.. bet her smile could have been seen from the moon.. I think one of my most favorite things is when a kid smiles after you tell them how proud you are and what a great job they did...

MARYq I hope today you get the good news that roomie is leaving.My package was Lots of Mary Kay.New revitalize Skin kit,Cleanser,moisterizer,serum.eye cream.lipstick,compact w/powder,hand cream.Now I should be beautiful with all that.LOL

JULES Happy your Sis opened up & talked.And prayers for CHarley too.What a week.

CHICKIE Know you enjoyed your DGD.I always do now mine has her little one & what a treat that is.Glad you got to sew.

SUZ Hope the news is good.Waiting is horrible.But when they thought mine was cancer they called me the same day.

Has anyone here noticed how the retailers in food industry think we are not knowledgeable.Hot chocolate used to have 10 pks now 6.DH was changing toilet paper when he discovered Charmin is now 1 in shorter.I told him what next.It upsets me that they think we do not notice.One of my pet peeves!!!!!!!

Laundry is chugging away.Levi is coming over so do not know what the day will bring.

Good Morning Girls

A quick hello this morning... I'd be excited for it to be Friday, but I have to work this weekend so no joy here. I do have Monday off!!
Stayed in the house all day yesterday and cleaned up a couple messes and sewed all afternoon! Made some progress on my R & W blocks... running low on White fabric so will need to run out for more!

Thanks for listening to all my rantings about room mate.. TODAY is the day! She has to work next weekend, so if all goes well and she's approved--we'll move her out on the 5th! Please keep those fingers crossed!

Have to run for now... but I wish you all a most wonderful day!

Good Sunny Morning,,,,I hurried and opened the shades this morning to let the sunshine in,

Today the gym and a few uglies....need to take winter coats and sweatersto the cleaners today...cleaned out the coat closet...and it is time to get them all cleaned, Ken suits too as we are going to a Gala next weekend. I am not sure what a gala is but it is the 100th anniversary of Ken's Pipefitters union that he has been with for over 40 years, so we are going...my sis and her husband are going too, I really hate fancy-schmancy affairs not comfortable in a dress and heels..plus I looked in the closet and ....nothing, I have dresses in there from DD wedding 10+ years ago...but cannot wear them as they are a bit too fancy and out of style...I guess i will have to go shopping,,,and I really hate that too...ok my pity party is over.

O'Dorothy If I don't get on the Christmas quilts now they won't get done I try to work on them a little each day...there are 14 blocks of applique and I am doing 4 quilts as I have 4 kids. I have all the stuff in this sewing room. pplus I have orders for 3 purses that I need to get on with. Good thing they do not have deadlines. I like to think of myself as organized but it is more OCD. LOL

Well it is late Kitty is really mad now she is biting my house shoes...Coffe smells are coming up here so I need to go...Hope you all have a great day Prayers for you all as we all have needs XXXOOO

Lois - yep, today is the best day of the work week. I'm glad you are getting the extra week of training that you wanted.

Suz - if you haven't made a quilt yet you could make a lily quilt - either buy lily fabric or applique lilies on it. I know what you mean about waiting on doctors. They move at a snail's pace.

Maryz - let us know what your sis thinks of her quilt. I hope she appreciates it. Y'all be careful. Give Scottie a pat from me.

Chriss - woo hoo - you get some "me" time. Have fun sewing or whatever you decide to do with the time.

Becca - I agree with you. They are cutting back on the amount of contents in almost everything. Cool Whip use to be 9 oz and now it's 8 oz. All my recipes that have Cool Whip in the ingredients call for 9 oz. What's a girl to do???? At least sticks of butter are still the same.

Tina - I hope you get some "me" time during your spring break.

Maryq - I think you should let her know that she IS moving out on the 5th whether she has a place or not. It's not your problem. She might try to drag it out so you need to stand firm. Call me if you need me to come up there and tell her how the cow ate the cabbage.

Happy Spring - Happy Allergies! UGH The tree pollen is almost at the extreme level and all it takes for me is just a little. It's gonna be a Benadryl day. Last night I got all packed which includes the stuff to start my next Radical Rooster. After work today we'll head for the lake. We'll be bringing the 5th wheel home so we can take it in for some warranty work.
