SUPPER CLUB - Sat, The Ides of March

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Mar 15, 2014 2:37 am

So who remembers their Shakespeare from high school? The day the Brutus killed Julius Caesar. Am I right or do I need another cup of coffee??

Anyway - being the bad Catholic girl that I am, I totally forgot about it being Friday last night as I happily munched down our spareribs! I guess I owe God one. Monday will be meatless, so guess that will work.

But I'm getting ahead of myself - I have no clue what dinner will be tonight. DD and I are planning a girls day out but I'm still not sure if that's today or tomorrow. She has some things she has to do and she'll let me know. But if I end up cooking, tomato soup and grilled cheese comes to mind . . .

Hope you all are more certain of your next meal!

Good morning from semi sunny, no rain, SW. Pa...Purrrrfect parade day in Pgh.....

Mary, you're really up on your Shakespeare, this is the day......And I'm sure a little "goof" once in awhile will be Ok with God...Heck, if that's the worse thing you do, you're really good to go.....

As for our dinner, it's left over chili before we can have new food...But, I will be baking banana/nut bread..That's become a staple in this household, just ask Jim.....

Happy eating.................

Good Morning!
Maryz - The Ides of March (the day Brutus killed Caesar) are the 13th of March if I am remembering from my Latin High School Classes correctly.

Yesterday was a good homemade Macaroni and Cheese, tonight we are having mac n cheese. The kind Maryz doesn't like, but which is totally delicious at our house.

Today is National Quilting Day so everyone enjoy getting threads everywhere!

Correction: The Ides of March is March 15th, so is National Quilting Day!
