Good Afternoon Girls!

Ha I bet you were waiting for me to say "Good Morning Girls"
It's snowing here, just lightly tho and since I don't have to go anywhere today... It can snow all it wants!

Walked down and met my neighbor's wife--the guy that is going to fix up my house for me! What a sweetheart.. she gave me a tour of their house, that he is in the process of remodeling. We had a nice chat and a cup of coffee. Makes me even MORE anxious to get my house in shape! Came home to find room mate in bed, of course! So I'm just going to putter around myself this afternoon.

Chriss. I have LOTS of closets, but the one in my bedroom is going to get worked on today! There's clothes in there that I know I will never wear (fit in) again--so out they go! May even tackle the office today to, there's a box of old geneology papers I need to go through and find a safe place for.

Cindyg... You had to turn on the AC??? Oh my gosh, I should send you some of our cool air! It's a little windy here today,, maybe if I blow real hard it would make it to TX. Am so looking forward to opening up the windows here! Fresh air would be so wonderful about now!

Maryz... So sorry to hear about your friend Lois. Dementia can be so difficult on the people around. Give Autumn a squeeze back... I had a lot of fun putting that package together--will she share? I'm making Jen a few red ones since she works at Target and some pink ones to take to the gals when I go in for my Mammo--whenever I get around to scheduling that! OUCH!

Sherry.... What a wonderful service you had for DH. Glad so many people could come and celebrate his life with good stories and his favorite music. You will be in prayers in the days ahead, as I'm sure there will be some long and sorrowful days. Just keep talking to him, it will bring you comfort. I talk to my Mom all the time--every time I look in the mirror I see her face and say Hello!

Vicky... ah Flagyl---just remember NO alcohol with it! LOL. I sure hope it does the trick for you! Probiotics are good idea too--even yogurt! Prayers for a speedy recovery!!!

Lois... I'm with you! I think Mother Nature has played a nasty trick on all of us this year.. Too much snow, too much cold.

Dolores.. MEN!!! need I say more..... the world has to stop when they get sick! such babies! For your sake, I hope he feels better soon!

CindyB... How is your Dad doing? At this point it bet it just doesn't all seem real to him. Takes a little while to get over that feeling. I can't tell you how often I went to pick up the phone to call my Mom after she passed. I still have her phone number programmed into my house phone and cell phone--it's been 4 years! Am jealous of your "cold" weather because it's still warmer than here. I bet you don't miss Iowa now!

Irish.... 24 hours from now you'll be WARM!! I so wanted to sneak into Judi's camper to join them on a trip to WARM weather! Hope you make it to the airport with NO problems

Dianna... LOVE the flower pictures! Reminds me that there is hope for spring.. and that I just may want to plant some sunflower seeds this spring! Would sure keep the birds happy!

Izzy... 14" of snow... is that all? We had a huge storm like that January of 1975... by late October, early November the hospital had record number of new babies! I know cuz one of them was mine! There's got to be a good 2 feet on my lawn... am thinking it will be gone by June!

Haven't done a thing since I got home from coffee at the neighbors, better get busy and get SOMETHING accomplished before nap time! Back to the closets I go!

hope you are all having a most wonderful day!

SURPRISE IT'S SNOWING!!!

I've decided to forgo the uglies. I'm sewing! I have the black/white blocks finished. After this I'll start the white sashing. Not sure about the boarders. The 1st will be 1 1/2" of white to match the sashing. I'll make a easy simple chicken soup for dinner.

Vicky....I thought C=Diff was very contagions, you can go out? When my DD1 had it I had to wear a plastic gown, gloves & face mask. I din't remember what meds she was on. At that point(ICU)she was on so many. Probiotics are a good idea she still takes it. Happy Sewing.

Sandy....Spring will be here soon. I have so much snow I wish my Grands could come over. I know you'll have a wonderful time. I missing a quilting book I'll look for pink pigs...lol

Sherry....It sounds like your service went well. A beautiful way to remember Harold. Sorry your dog is not feeling well.Hope she'll be fine with some rest.

Becca.....how are you doing with all your snow? I'm starting to get a little sore in my back & the shoulders. Thanks for the Spring news. I was wondering when it was coming.

Maryz....my Austin son-in-law has a very good handyman. But he's a wiz with the computer. NO my girls & I are not getting together any time soon. I said "I wish" we could get together.. Thank you for the Lois & Warren up date. How is Warren doing with caring for her & himself? Enjoy every minute with her....I'm thinking of you.

Lyn....I see that silver is now a big think in meds. My DD1 has used several in the last year. How Knew?

Chriss.....seven stores....sounds like a wonderful trip. Did you say anything to her about talking a lot? The quilt is a BOM from my 'old' LQS so it's a sampler. Shoveling takes 30 to 45 mins. I works best for me a little at a time.

Cindyg....I shovel each storm....mostly because the drive way is a hill. On Long Island I only shoveled 6" or more because it's so flat & I parked at the end. Well if your turning on the A/C Spring must be coming soon. Enjoy!!

Kathy2....no matter how difficult, It can out beautifully. Is it for you?

Tina....how delightfully warm....just like summer! Have fun at the quilt show...let us know what you get.

Diana....we are scheduled to have some sun tomorrow....(:

CindyB....be careful what you say....with all this crazy weather you could get snow!!

Irish....Happy Birthday to you DH!! Enjoy dinner.

Back to my sashing.....

It's late now, and most of you are done reading any more posts on here. We had a busy day here. My DH had ordered special stabilizer bars for our RV. He has been pondering these for about six months. Finally decided it might help the sway.

Had to put things away and put in the slide-outs. Then the work began.
DH got the job done by noonish, so it wasn't too bad. Fixed us a little lunch and then sat down to watch a little TV. I grabbed up the computer to jump in here and see what everyone has been up to.

More bad weather in the North country and out East. Sure do wish Spring would hurry up for all of us. We finally got a little relief here in South Texas. This is the weather I have been yearning for! :)

I will post more tomorrow or Monday. I am going to be spending some time outdoors, now that the weather is a little warmer.

Hugs to all

Shovel some to get out, treat myself to $13.00 breakfast, seems a lot for breakfast. Contacted interested satellite ladies while near payphone. Some still south US April, then why the big puff in wanting a satellite group if not there!

Then shopping, one book, from Copperfield. Mood market ladies trying hard to be motivated but weather had reached its limit and could see the tired faces.

Myself found a fat quarter pattern book, really easy, then went for jelly rolls, and layer cakes $40.00 range, have to wait, 1metre $13.00 not sure on color.. Back to patterns, found 4 more great, interac had reached it's nay-nay sound.. I get it, cash ONLY!

OK! sick of weather, where's the bus, I want to go home and cry sleep to wake up 2hrs later, ITS SPRING! Then someone tells me to brace myself more snow is coming. WHAT? OK! Had a few dollars set aside for emergency cat food, and bag of potatoes.. We'll be doing soup, scallops and lots of sewing or next little while.

Least I have computer, to search for that extra job...
Then, the satellite organizer, just woke up and indicates she is the boss of getting things together. When she had reported to committee not doing it...

One of those situation, left hand doesn't know what right hand is doing, some Winipegers want to do this but can't commit..

AHH! All that's left is pictures of my donated fabric for tomorrow. SORRY! I'll be doing catch up at the March 28 quilt show.. Least if can't afford, be watching all demos free.

Hi all...I am finally settled in at the camp ground in Shepardsville KY...I wont bore you with details...but this morning when we went to leave one of our slides was frozen(big time) in the opened position it took Ken 1 1/2 hours to thaw it out...I haven't heard such language come out of his mouth since he retired. He was ready to cancel the whole trip...it was 6 this morning and he had to work in that cold...but we finally met our friends for a late breakfast and Sis and her huibby and Ken and I got on the road at around 10;30. we made it hear at 530. a couple of stops and gas ups//// Now for the bad news...it is very cold here 23 and snow every where,,,over 500 mile and nothing has changed,,,,it still looks like Michigan, We have no water cause it is too cold here so they have the water pipes shut off...so we will have to use the bath house and walk in the snow...(huh?) NOT ME I will wash up and take a good hot shower when we get to Atlanta tomorrow...I will heat some water on the stove and do it the old fashioned way.
Well We are toasty in the camper anyway and have free wifi so I will surf and see what is new.....Hope you all are warmer than me....hope you that are feeling bad feel better soon..Comfort to those who grieve,,know that I pray for you all....XXXOOO
