Wednesday, February 5th

Post by suzette58 » Tue Feb 04, 2014 9:44 pm

Good morning everyone.
I have a date of my last radiation treatment. It will be on March 6th. I am so glad. Tuesday is my day to see the dr each week and he is very happy with how things are going. I usually get to treatment about an hour before. Yesterday I took Lydia's quilt to sew the binding on. I got maybe 2 or 3 stitches in and they were calling me back. Today I am off so I can take my time getting going. Which is good since it is icy this morning. I am sure schools will be delayed. They have added days to the calendar by taking away some teacher work days. Have a wonderful day and keep CindyB and others that need it in your thoughts and prayers.

Your up before the rest of us.. Well, looks like my agenda for today is whatever I want.. Cleaning duties and sewing, maybe if not too chicken get myself some really neat lunch from IGA across street.

Wine coolers, only after I'm set up in front of TV with sewing for Olympics. Have till Saturday, stay inside to work on things. Getting feed up with this cold snap that doesn't seem to let go.. One thing left to do is wait it out..

Quilter can handle that... Always my knitting to work on, trying to make a cowl.. Very popular out here... The new teenage trend...

Good Morning Ladies,

Good Morning to all,

Prayers going out for CindyB and her family. It is so difficult whenever you loose your mom. I lost my wonderful mother 14 years ago and I still miss her.

Well this year is starting off well for getting my UFO's done. No new projects in quilting until they are all done. If I am not going to use the blocks, off they will go to Izzy. I love that she is making quilts for the nursing home near her. Since January, I completely finished one quilt and have two more almost done piecing, have to add borders on both and quilt. I am determined to get these UFO's done.

Well the jerk is at it again. BUT she is getting a harassment order against him. He just will not leave her alone. So mean to the kids.

Yesterday, I spent the day with three of my quilting buddies. We get together once a month at each others home and we are working on the same quilt pattern. We were side tracked last year....so we are close to finishing our BOM from 2012. I only have to put the borders on and then quilt it. This year we are concentrating on UFO's after we finish our 2012 BOM.

I feel so bad for my N.J. kids and all of my friends getting all this snow. But think of all the snow days you get and all the sewing you will get done. Stay safe and cover up with all those beautiful quilts.

Well it is very early here in AZ, but the RA woke me up so here I am in the sewing room. Took 1/2 a pain pill and so will get some sewing done today. Love to all of you. I am going to really make an effort this year to get on here more often. LOL

Hugs,

Carole

Lots and lots of snow here.
I called Tia and had her come yesterday and I'm glad I did. There would be no way she could get off the hill or out of her driveway for that matter today. I got in a lot of cuddle time with Timmy and we enjoyed seeing Jovanna dance for us. She is quite a dancer!

I plan to try and stay warm today! No other plans made. I know I'll have to make either hot chocolate or tea for the kids when they get done shoveling and snow blowing.

I'm so DONE with winter. Sounds like we may get hit again this weekend. Fun.

Good early NO SCHOOL again morning:). I still need to call transport for DD to cancel no way making it up this hill of ice LOL DH has trouble with 4 wheel drive. DH headed in says main roads not bad in our area we are farther south so temps rose to above freezing. Was icy when went to bed but now all gone off cars. Windy though.

Well will finish SBS blocks today. May catch up before Fri are posted:)

Carol I hear you on UFO projects thats what I did yesterday in sewing room. Got it reorganized and projects off my table. And you know your extra blocks are always welcome I got 3 more lap quilts binded yesterday. I have 8 finished and I put them in box for delivery. I will start on some more tops now. I have 3 more to layer and tie in my stack:) May get that done today too.

Teresa I got my Jan lotto blocks WOW they are pretty. DH picked up mail for me yesterday:) I cant wait to play with them too today:)

Lea I wish could watch olympics. No cable so no watch here. I do not have one of those fancy phones and computer requires cable co authorization. You all have a lot of skaters that look really good too I really love watching the skaters.

Well need to make coffee and get out of bed LOL Yup still sitting here nice and warm :)

Have fun all sewing, be careful and stay warm all you snow bunnies. Oh and you CA gals well you know enjoy your sun LOL I will bottle up some rain for you once it melts:)

God bless and happy thoughts

Izzy: Don't you get NBC off of an antenna? The Olympics are on NBC.

So glad for the update on Rod and Shirley Mae. Prayers that things will improve for them.

Suzette: so glad you have been given an ending date. Something now to focus towards. Glad you treatments are working well.

Carole: Glad to hear from you. I worked on some old projects yesterday myself. Mostly just tinkering around with some small projects I had started a couple of months ago. It's good to feel like you finished something. :)

Lois: Good news that the "old boots" fit. That means the swelling is down. You just be sure you are being careful!!

Leah: Enjoy the Olympics. Sounds like you have your spot picked out for being comfortable in front of the TV and refreshments to go along with it. Enjoy.

This weather is getting everyone down. California might have the sunshine, but THEY NEED RAIN. The rest of the country needs some dry weather and sunshine to warm up things.

Hope you all get to sew a little today. But have fun doing whatever comes your way.

Good morning..

if you gals get here by supper time you will be in for a treat... Jerry thawed out a turkey and we are having post thanksgiving dinner...it will smell so good when I get home.

Just saw on facebook that QIAD is offering 20% off today online orders only because of some kind of a computer mishap...

Chickie, I also love the smell of wood fire places and birds singing...the bird I love is the meadowlark... reminds me of my grandpa...your island sounds wonderful and the best part is.. there are no rentals there... ;D

Cindy.... I never watch the olympics... I guess I'm not much of a sports person...I also agree about the fish / steakhouse thing..

Mel, have a great vacation.. enjoy the baby and your dad.

Sooz... I am doing my mystery blocks over... I love yours and Izzy's.. I need something to fussy cut...

Izzy, you send that snow this way, we will melt it for you.

Jana, glad all is well with your FIL.. it must be hard to give up independence and ask for help.

Maryz.. how nice of Bill to not invite you to the fabric store...lol...hope you enjoyed your day all to yourself..

Karlene.. I am really intrigued to see your quilt.. bet lunch with the girls was fun.

Sharona, diamonds are a girls best friend.. or at least that's what the song says.. hope your heater guy does come to see you.

Scrappy Pat.. woo hoo, I love to see you post.. hope PT went well..

O'Dorothy, sounds like Jim married a lady much like his feisty aunt.. lol...that Florida weather is sure calling your name.

Tina, prayers for your dad.. hope Easton feels better soon.

Kathy, Jerry will make turkey pot pie with the leftovers.. he uses the stuffing as the top crust of the pie.. it is just heavenly...

Izzy, are you really milking the chickens?

Suzette, March 6th will be here before you know it.. so cool, I am thrilled that all is going well.

Scrap48. enjoy knitting and sewing and lunch

Lois.. does the whole town shut down when the weather is really bad? it must be awful for the economy...

Carole, it will be good to see you here more often... how many ufo's do you still need to do.

Vicky, your day sounds wonderful, I love grandsnuggles.. glad Jovanna can dance.. isn't it cute to watch.

Velda, you go ahead and send that wet or cold stuff this way... we can melt it..

for me it's work.. I have nothing planned this weekend.. Mar would like to go to the skating rink.. if I get my mystery blocks done I may take her...she's never had it so good and I think she is realizing it..

you all have a fab day,
Chriss
