SUPPER CLUB - Sunday, Jan 26th

Post by purrfect-lady » Sat Jan 25, 2014 4:29 pm

Hi, girls! I've been MIA, but I haven't been missing any meals, though! Just intermittant internet. We're out on the desert just north of Yuma and basking in 80* temps. My DD sent me a photo yesterday morning of SNOW in her back yard - in Austin, TX! And that's where we're headed for warmth! Goofy us!

I'm actually writing this on Sat night. I don't normally care for lentil soup, but for some reason I bought dried lentils a few months ago. So tonite I made soup and you know what? I loved it! It was the best lentil soup I've ever tasted! And I didn't even have a recipe. I just pretended I was making split pea soup. There was enough that the leftovers will be Sunday's supper as well. Salad and bread and butter will make a great menu.

So what sounds tasty to you tonite?

We will have a taco salad this evening. Doesn't take long to make and is healthy, except for the chips.

I'm going to work on birdhouses today.

Maryz - I hope our weather improves before you get to Texas. Where is Gore and global warming?

Becca - prayers for your friend.
