Good morning, all!

I had a long post all ready and my hand accidentally hit my keyboard and I lost it. I have some time ALONE with the generator running, so I'm going to sew! Yay!! I love our ATV trail rides into the hills, exploring things, but I've really missed my sewing! Making blocks for my sister's retirement quilt.

have a super day!

Good morning!

Suzette – I hope mother nature cooperates with you today!

Carole – I’m so sorry to hear about your niece – that is just awful. Prayers going up for the family. I would love to meet Luke (and y’all!) sometime….

Chriss – have a lovely service. You are going to town on the blocks.

Scrapq – your fondue sounds wonderful! Cable sure is high for y’all. Both my boys have ditched cable and gone to Netflix.

Velda – I think I remember how to make a French knot, but how do you do the feet? Your blocks are so cute. I will have to figure out how many UFOs and unstarted projects I have – last time I did I stopped at 50 (for both types) and then got ashamed and had to stop.

Judi – yay for the success at the auction. It restores faith in humanity to see people come together to help out someone in need. Smart thing to do with your fridge.

Vicky – so sorry to hear about the creeping crud. My DH had to do the same thing with his root canal for the same reason – so glad your mouth is feeling better. We are missing our third week of church because the flu is rampant out here. I sure hope y’all get to feeling better soon.

Kathy – have fun at the bouncy house!

Mel – sorry for the shortened visits, but it does sound like there’s a silver lining. If you figure out what to make for dinner, please let me know. I’m also hoping to be birding today, now that I have the right interfacing...!

Maryq – hope you lose that headache quickly. Maybe it was too much housework. You sure did got a LOT done! I’m also ready for winter to be gone, but here we get breaks from the cold. It’s going to be in the high 50s today, so at least I can let in a wee bit of fresh air.

Maryz - happy sewing today! I had major internet issues this morning so I feel your pain.

Mary/Rose – where are you?

DH went over our budget yesterday and it was NOT good. His stomach is still churning (he gets that way). So we’re on the austerity plan until I can start taking my retirement from Lockheed Martin in three years. It’s all good – I probably have enough fabric to last me that long anyway – HA! I’d rather eat beans and rice for a week than give up all my fabric money – too bad I can’t convince him of that. It’s not as bad as he makes it seem, but I must play along until he gathers his wits. The Broncos play in about three hours. DS1 left on his first real business trip out to Bartlesville, OK for a week. I will relax once he gets to his hotel – he’s 38 and I still worry. Lunch yesterday with my BFF was fabulous as always – the Indian food was great. Guess I’ll go play with the birds. Have a great day! xoxo Sharona

Well, I finally was able to post a picture using my iPad with Photo Bucket. I posted a picture of my nephew's wedding from back in December. Now I will get my son to take a picture of me with my pink scarf and I can post it! I made some banana bread this morning. So we have snacks for the week. I worked in my studio. I had to piece the backing for Lydia's quilt and will have to piece the batting. I was cutting the strips for binding and looked at a thread rack and found King Tut thread to quilt my nephew's wedding quilt. I even had 2 spools unopened. Plenty of thread. Have a great rest of the day.

One member gave idea for fondue/cheese/tacos. Raced across to store and brought some celery, broccoli and taco chip, yum-ym. To recap I mentioned earlier RE: use of fondue for keeping your diner warm if busy quilting all day. In return received other ideas.

Someone mentioned Netflix, yes I have on my cmptr what is it? Place for watching movies?

It's snowing yet mild. Managed to post my quilts on google.com maybe you could view them under leahritchott@gmail.com? Did open up facebook account, but I try to be careful to avoid any security problems.
