So I tried El's method of making the Star with out Y seams and it turned out just as bad as if I did them.... It's hopeless!

Susie I really made it I am surprised myself LOL I too ripped it apart at first left it and came back. I was going through book looking at patterns Bridal Bouquet ought to be another challenge LOL

Vicky I only wish mine was sew pretty. I love it. You know what they say about black it makes you thinner and hides all your mistakes:)) I cant see a thing wrong and really I didnt look that close:)

I love all your colors sew pretty. My wall is getting full again:) It looked so bare when I took down all the ones we did before christmas.

We are getting closer. I was thinking about the applique block. Tess what if we all designed one to go in there that is about us. I am planning to use Sunbonnet sue and Sam with a goat/farm look:) I will post pic once I have a layout:)

Vicky I think your star is beautiful.

I know most of us have trouble with the y seams. Have you watched the videos on You Tube? I just went there and search "videos on y seams and several came up. I wonder if that will help.

Everyone's blocks are getting better every week. I'm always anxious to see them being posted. Take care and have a great day Redtop

Kathy love your star. You girls have the most beautiful fabrics. I've used my scraps for so long I don't have much to choose from anymore. I'm determined to use only scraps for this quilt and NOT buy anything. My quilt may be not have much color or sparkle, but it's for my bed.
