Talk about things that go bump in the night-and then bellers. DS2 is in South dakota. DS3 is doing his chores and went out early because of a meeting and found a calf in the feed lot. I'll let you imagine my thoughts on that bull that jumped fences so much last year. I won't be sorry to see him go on atruck for a one way ride. The calf wasn't very old and today is a raining, cold day. She spent some time in the tub with someone holding her head so she didn't drown. Then she got rubbed with towels and a tent made with a very old quilt, I cringed, even though it wasn't one of mine, and that was how it ended up here anyway was around a calf. We turned the heat up to the 80's and kept doors closed and after a couple of hours she started to warm up. She has now nursed down 3 pints of cholestrom from a bag. We are not going to attempt to milk that cow. As of now Chrystal Snow-E Surprise is doing well. (The DGD is here overnight because of the weather we weren't able to get her home.)

How many adults does it take to take care of a calf in the wee hours? Apparently 3, she woke all of us up.

That is how my day is beginning. I wonder if it's safe to drive. The state police were requesting that we not.

Have a good day and I shall be back some time tomorrow and maybe DS3 will help post pics of the new girl.

Sandy, yawning and ready for some sleep.

Good morning
yesterday was a pleasant day. Seems my body is slowly going back to normal. Nap time is at 4pm now - I have no choice - instead of being sleepy all day and wide awake at 4pm LOL!!! Still nauseous in the morning but doesn't last to long so all is seeming to calm down.

This for some reason seems to be the week of blessings as well as Doc's. Donna came over yesterday to chit chat and we picked out 3 pantographs from a credit I miraculously received from Urban Elementz. I had a blonde moment and ordered a set not realizing I had already ordered the panto's. I called them up and told them what I did and if I had any options available. I was dreaming and hoping realistically thinking they could say nope. After talking with the boss she called back and gave me a full credit. I had to have them tell me twice. I was just hoping for a partial credit.

I then showed Donna the BIG package that arrived from FedEx on Wednesday with a name I had no clue. When I picked it up it sounded like the bull got into all the china. I carefully opened it to discover 51 jars of Magna-Glide thread (20 prewound bobbins in each), 3 cones of So-Fine Thread and 6 Bars of Newman's Own Organic Milk Chocolate, 2 bars of Dark Chocolate 3.25oz each. Thread and Chocolate = No worries here!!!! We were so busy organizing my rainbows of color that I forgot to call the doc about the results. I will check on Monday and she ran off with one of the Dr Choc bars - LOL - of course I shared!! I am no meanie!!! Right Chriss :) :) The package came from my mentor who is teaching me how to use the computer for the LA. She is so AMAZINGLY SWEEEET!!!! A belated Christmas Present. I say it is early for next year. And to think I was so bummed about not being able to buy the computer because Rob bought the truck - Remember I was so PO'd and bummed. It is true, you really don't know the blessings that are just around the corner.
I then went into the sewing room, cleaned a bit and cut out the strips for the Lotto Blocks after ironing ugh. Thank the good Lord for Best Press with No Scent.

Today is more of the same. A few uglies and then sewing. Still deciding what block to make my SP and I have a few projects that must be done by the 22nd as we leave for AZ on the 23rd after the R2CA Show in Ontario. Speaking of which ... Sandy - guess what I got in the mail - A R2CA QIAD Booth Coupon Postcard with your name but my address. How that happened I have no clue. Should I mail it to you :) Very happy to know you were able to save little one. Why will you not give her milk??

Hope you all have a great relaxing weekend. HUGS, BLESSINGs and PRAYERS ALWAYS, Teresa

Good morning everyone!
I feel so much better. I managed to finish Lydia's quilt top yesterday. Today I am going to run to Joann's and look for backing. I got coupons in the mail yesterday and also have a gift card. I even picked out the fabrics for my Secret Pal block. They are pre washed and waiting for me to make the block. It feels so good to be out of my block. It can be very frustrating. Today I do have some uglies and errands but I will fit them into my quilting schedule. Have a wonderful day.

Good morning... today will be ice skating day... fun fun... I will sit in hexi heaven and sew..

it should be in the mid 50's in Yosemite with a 20% chance of rain.. so it will be a good day... the kids will be starving and tired when they are done...I will not be skating.. I'd crack the ice.

don't tell anyone this but I have more fabric than I realized.. I went looking for something to use for my 2014 BOM and I found a tote of fabric I didn't know I had...I really can't justify buying new when I have too much already...I think I will just use a mix of what I already have and have massed confusion.

Chickie.. funny you mention having a dime in your loafers... do they even have phone booth's anymore? poor superman, no place to change into his tights...

Teresa, glad you got a surprise treasure in the mail.. what fun...

for me it's a shower and try to get started on my BOM first block.. it will be a scrappy quilt.. it is supposed to have a finished size of 68x68... it's going to be fun.

you all have a blessed day,
Chriss

CHRISS My baby quilt is for a DGB that is due in April. We have one due in April,May & June. This one is a boy & the name is Kade Easton.
I got the top half finished yesterday.

Seems today will be a great day to sew if the thunder calms down.

DH has had a really rough week after his teeth being pulled. His health is bad & he is on oxygen too.So I hope for a better day today.

Sure was sorry to read Scrappy Pats news.Prayers to those with needs.

Good Rainy Morning,

The over night rain took most of yesterday's snow away. I think I'll out the car out side so the rain can pre-wash it before a trip to the car wash on Monday....it filthy. I never made it to the Dr's yesterday. I got a tummy ache couldn't leaven the house. All better today & it's a good thing too as it is uglies day. I did get the burp cloths finished.

Sandy.....I guess "little ones" can get into trouble no matter their species! I'm happy to hear she is fine....it must be the quilt. You deserve a good sleep.

Teresa....so happy to hear you are doing better. That sounds like a package we would love to receive, you can't go wrong with choc & thread. Have fun!

Suzette......Happy dance for you! We'll be waiting for reports from you of sewing like crazy.

Lois.....I like TV with my sewing..

Chriss....I used to ice skate all the time when I was little. The park's lake was frozen all winter. The girls will have fun. LOL....a tot of fabric, found. Lucky you. I love penny loafers...mine had the penny in them.

Becca.....Will say prayers for your DH. Happy Sewing..

ScrappyPat....saying prayers for you too.

Love & Prayers for all in need.......Kathy

I have bunch of uglies to do and will read all posts in a bit. got to get a few things done first.

DH took me out to dinner last night. Texas Roadhouse but it was so noisy the music was supper loud busy hustle and bustle we were all DD DH and myself overstimulated. Food was great and only had a 15 min wait but atmosphere was terrible. I love the country. quiet and serene:)

Good Morning Girls

It's actually WARM here this morning, if you call 32 above zero warm. After the temps we had earlier this week, this is a heat wave. Today will be a great day to finally get out and get some groceries. Will pick up Evie sometime today and take her along to Joann and Target!

Chriss... don't you just LOVE finding fabric you didn't know you had!! As soon as room mate moves out I'm going to totally reorganize my stash and I'll bet I'll find things I didn't know I had too! I put in for a two week vacation to go to Alaska in May, but I think I'll only stay 7-8 days--Jen doesn't have a lot of vacation days--so I'll have time to play at home too!

Lois... after I get home from grocery shopping... I'm headed to the sewing room too! Have orders for more scarves and a pair of fleece mittens and I would LOVE to spend a little time on my Bird house blocks.. and my SP block.. I know which one I want to make.. just need to pull the perfect fabric for it!

Teresa.. WOW what a package your received. Thread and CHOCOLATE! Doesn't get much better than that! Glad to see you are feeling a little better.

Chickie.... I had dimes in my penny loafers when I was in college in 1970. At first I had pennies, but when I met my DEX... he sent me dimes so I could call him. I still have all the "love letters" he sent me. Someday I'm going to send them all back to him! LOL

Becca... Wow you sure will be busy with all those grand babies! Three in a row! Bet your sewing machine is just humming with activity. Hope your DH feels better soon!

Kathy... my car is filthy too! Inside and out! Might have to run it through the car wash while the temps are warm or all the doors will freeze shut!

Suzette... YEAH for getting Lydia's top done! Do you have a "smart phone" Did you know there's a Joann App you can download and it has coupons they can scan right from your phone!

Izzy.... I'm with you.. .I prefer nice quiet places to have dinner out. Much easier to carry on a conversation without music blasting in your ears!

Maryz....prayers for safe travels! Scottie might need a "doggy downer" to settle him down!

Well girls I better get going. waiting on a phone call for DS to see when I can go meet him to pick up Evie. Probably should jump in the shower quick!

Wishing you all a most wonderful day

MANY MANY prayers for Pat today!
