SoozG and Izzy--love the blocks! We're moving right along (although I think I'll re-make the Mark stars and put the light blue/cream next to fussy cuts and move the dark blue out with the brown--glad I have lots of all those fabrics!!!!
Love El's new Mystery quilts using her new Zoey Christine line. Oh dear, I may have to make another one.......

Got this month's all done! If you take the extra pieces that you sewed, the half square triangles and lay them to the other side of what you sew this month - you can see your star - this will give you a heads up, just in case you don't like how it is coming out.
Just lay it out like the exploded picture on the inside cover - you then can audition a fussy cut if you want for the center snowball.
I did my star in reds and will fussy cut the center - a rose that I am using from the perennials line from EL.
Soozg - you will get caught up! Slow and steady will win the race! LOL
Izzy - laying out the star will give you a better sense for that black in the center.

Re: Case of the Lost Quilt, 2014 Mystery
Almost caught up...block one and two set... Three is in setting fabric and trimmed (scary) just need to sew block four on each end. Have started the feathered star but ordered a 6 1/2 triangle ruler from QIAD the day before the fires started and delivery has been delayed. Will probably wait for it to come so I can trim my little triangles correctly. So glad I am almost caught up.... Thinking I am going to embroider a saying in the center square about sewing... What do you think?
