Jusdt got a surprize my quilty friend )one who has breast cancer) is stopping by with her DH for coffee and a short visit....Her first husband is buried in a cemetary near here,,,,so happy to see her....I need to finish the binding on her quilt but I have other stuff for her...Chriss sent a box of beginner quilter stuff and I will give it to her today. She will be thrilled as she had to cancel her winter down south due to her treatment....so now she will have something to keep her busy.

We are so blessed to have each other for family rven if our real families let us down.....I have a DIL who puts us in the trunk too...but my other one has no parents alive so she always puts us first...she is like another daughter,, merry Christmas again I really do love you all....

Good early afternoon from cold, sunny but snow dusted, Sw. Pa.....

Just popping in for a minute but wanted to wish everyone the biggest and "bestest" MERRY CHRISTMAS ever.....

It's a very busy, hectic time in this household but loving every minute of it.....Nicky has been baking up a storm and will be making a new chicken dish for dinner...The last of the packages have arrived, thank goodness....Kathy had sent all the kid's gifts and that was the last of the boxes that came to the PO before she closed for the holiday....We thought we might have to delay Christmas, lol....

Just reading all your posts have added inches to the waist...There are some delicious aromas rising in this big country of our's....

Chriss, Dr. Phil has been around for awhile but sadly, not in the family....In fact, they've kind of moved on but are still very good friends...When Jackie got her new apartment, he wanted her to move close so he could be there if she needed help....But, he'll always be our Dr. Phil....It sounds like you're going to have a great Christmas...Having all those you love and that dinner, it is good to be you......

Well, here I am running at the mouth again....Gotta get moving.....

Once again, you all have a great day and a fabulous Christmas....
Remember the reason...........

Good Christmas Eve afternoon....

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. The kids are so so excited they can't stand it. I love and wish I could give everyone a huge hug in person.
Cooper and Lucy are going to my ex's for their "supervised" Christmas with mom this evening. They will have fun because they have 2 dogs, Daisy and Scruffy, Daisy is not nice I am told by Cooper. It will be nice to have some peace and quiet. I am going to candlelight church service at 5.

Izzy. ..sorry about your son. I speak from experience, don't let it ruin your chritmas. Word of advice....make plans and tell him and if he doesn't choose to come that's his problem, not yours. I know it hurts because you;'re a mom.

Chriss....could you send Jerry and some warm weather my way? It is freezing outside.

Maryz....so what is Scotty getting from santa dog? I hope a stocking filled with lots of treats and toys.

thank to everyone for being here thru the good and bad. I love you all.

Just a quick note about daughters-in-law. I am so lucky even though my son is in the Marine Corps so we don't see each other as much as I like. The government is real funny about Moms going to Afghanistan with their sons. LOL My Daughter-in-law is wonderful. She is from Okinawa and I couldn't have asked for a better mother for my GS's. She treats me like her own mother and to me she is my daughter. When I was at Camp Pendleton last year she willingly drove me over to San Marcos so I could go to Eleanor's Shop. When they are here she always wants to help clean and cook. She is a wonderful cook. So for this Christmas I am so blessed to have her in our family.

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!

Merry Christmas to all of you. My heartfelt wishes for a Happy New Year too!

It's supposed to reach close to 80 degrees today and rest of the week.
It's clear and beautiful weather. I guess the scarves I knitted will have to wait to be worn...oh well.

Getting ready to go to DD#1's house. Son and DD#2 are with the in-laws but I will see them tomorrow at my brother's house. Every year it's different, my mom was adamant about Christmas Eve at her house and made it very difficult to spend the holidays with DH's family. The last couple of years we have Christmas in early Jan. with DH's fam...that way we get to celebrate DFIL's and DH's birthdays too.

Have the merriest Christmas ever,

Lucie

Merry Christmas Everyone!
Happy Birthday Lucie!

Yes, So. California is having a heat wave. Makes everyone want to come out for a visit and stay!!

The (pecan) pie is made, the dinner roll dough is in the refrigerator, the cookies are baked and the candy is made so I feel like I am finally ready for Christmas this afternoon. I still need to spend time straightening the sewing room. I had it cleaned up pretty well until we started wrapping. Of course after the rest of the house is clean then I must go back to the sewing room and put away what was in the other rooms and is now here.

The plumbers have been here since yesterday afternoon, seems the sewer pipe was broken. Our neighbor saw it yesterday. They put a liner in it, rather than dig a trench. Very interesting.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas! Enjoy your families. Enjoy the wonderful food that has been prepared. Enjoy the day.

Merry Christmas!
Carol
