Good Morning All you Sleepy Heads!

Can't believe I'm the first one up this morning! I'm only up because I have to go to work this morning.. if it wasn't for that I'd be tucked in my nice warm bed!

Won't complain tho, as I've had the last 2 days off and they were wonderful. Got some shopping done, some gifts wrapped and a HUGE box of stuff almost ready to go to the PO on Monday headed to AK! And I actually got one of the Twin Sisters quilts quilted, and almost done with the binding! Have Monday off and with luck I'll get the other one done too! The babies were born Dec 4th and are still in the hospital but I'd like to have them ready for when they get home. Bailey Ann and Brynn Rae.

Found out I have to work Christmas Eve until 9pm... bummer! Business as usual for the pharmacy I guess! Will have the kids here Christmas day, so it's all good.

Well, I'm not totally awake so I have writer's block and don't know what else to chat about this morning. Will peak in when I get home tonight and see how y'all spent your Saturday! Hope it's a great one!

Good Morning,

Well, Mary, look at you!! Such a Christmas Elf! Not quite the first one up, though. I see Judi made it about the same time! Bummer about working Christmas Eve. That's the thing with jobs anywhere in the medical industry - Sick and elderly folks don't close for the holidays. But sometimes, co-workers can really make a shift festive and it can be fun to work.

JUDI - I'm so happy we warmed up some. We're going to about 45* for a high today. But we'll probably have moisture, if not actually coming down, then it will just be very moist air. Which is bone-chilling. But if your stacking wood, you keep pretty warm!

Our birthday party for Lois was really nice last night. The assisted living facility treats us so special. They made a wonderful scratch cake, decorated it so beautifully, and a crew carried it in, singing to Lois. She was so delighted.

Today will be more splitting/stacking of wood. We're maybe 1/3 done with that. And I got a great start on my koi wallhanging. Hope to finish fusing the parts and pieces this afternoon.

11 more days! Enjoy them!

good morning Mary and Judi and Maryz

DH had to go in to work too. Inventory today but they gave him next monday off in place of it and he is happy. We will have 5 days off together for christmas.

Its rainy here I seee Chickie didnt ring out all those rain clouds for me from KS:)) thats ok makes for a great sewing day.

Opened my box from joanns UGH I ordered wrong die. there is one that is way too big for my go baby. I am hoping I can just take to store and exchange but have feeling will have to ship back to them YUK.

SharonkL will get a lil snow with this front this am but then it will melt due to temps rising. I am too far south for that:)

Uglies this morning then to the sewing room I go. finished tieing the last 4 lap quilts last night while watching Sing off on hulu:) Do you all watch that. There is a team from KY that almost went home last night they were in bottom two but outsang the Latin group. I hated seeing them leave but someone has to go. Its a show where they only sing alcapella no instruments the people create the sound of base and drums with song--call it a beat box. So cool to hear sounds like they have music:)

Binding all lap quilts today. Backing and quilting a top that was sent to me as well for one of the ladies we pick up every sunday and take back to nursing home for church:) so lots to get done in sewing room.

but first the uglies. Well really first is coffee and gettin DD up and going. I hear her a moaning in her room. MOM hasnt been yelled out just yet but she is a chatty cathy in there LOL

On that note have fun sewing today. Stay warm . Oh my I thought I just lost my whole post hit backspace by accident; well I just went up and hit my forward arrow by address line and got back to this page. Thank goodness. Hey maybe that is what happens to some of you guys:) May try that next time with the arrows at top:)

God Bless and happy thoughts
Izzy

Good morning, good morning. It felt good to sleep in this morning. After I finish a cup of coffee, I am going to work some more on the binding. I got 1 1/2 sides completed yesterday. Then I need to get Mt Washmore started once DH is up. BBL to check in. Blessings,

Mary/Rosebud

Good(soon to be snowy)Morning!!

Well we are expecting 8" to 10" starting later today. My nice neighbor called & said he would plow me out of our snow. Lucky me.
Today it's uglies & some baking. It has been 1 year since that boy shot all those children & teachers in a New Town CT school. Since then in the US there have been 10 school shootings and a other one yesterday. They all need our prayers.

Maryq....I slept in. I must have turned off the alarm...I don't remember it ringing. Sounds like you got a lot done yesterday, good for you. I'm assuming the girls are doing well & filling out. Love their names. Sorry about working Christmas eve.

Judi.....your snow will be here soon. There's some thing about the warm ocean water slowing down the storm & giving us more snow. I'm ready with a new bigger shovel.

Maryz....45' sounds good we are 6' right now but 30s tomorrow. How nice they made a cake & from scratch for Lois. Happy Quilting!!

Becca....Sawyer sounds like a real sweetheart. Have a wonderful time at the party.

Izzy....working today will make a wonderful 5 days off for you & DH. Sorry about your wrong order....Hope the return goes smoothly.

Mary/Rosebud....hope you get to sew more than doing uglies.

Love & Prayers to all in need.......Kathy

Had a wonderful visit with my sister & her fussy DGD. Sent her home with plenty of turkey & stuffing.

Good morning! I’ve been out and done my self-exam for osteoporosis. I passed with a bounce and a few bruises. I was taking out a bucket of bird seed and hit a glaze of ice on the bottom step of the side deck. Foom! I was up; then I was down. I landed on my hip with a bang and slammed my head and shoulder into the side of the house. The birds are enjoying their feast, and I am fine. Maybe I’m just well-padded so I don’t break…

This is my day to go to town… I WILL be careful where I drive/step! I’m on full Mom duty this week, so I’ll be going to town almost daily.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Hello everyone.

What a nice day today!! Everyone is so busy getting projects finished.

Maryz: Hope you get your wood splitting done soon. That is such hard work!! Hope you will share pictures of your wall hanging. I love to see everyone's projects.

Izzy: I have had that same thing happen to me on my computer. Found by accident once, that the back arrow button, took me back to where I was, instead of having to retype the whole message. Whew!!
DD chatting in her room reminds me of how my kids would talk to their imaginary friends. Makes me smile. Is she always in a good mood in the mornings, or does she wake grumpy sometimes?

Maryq: Hope you get all of your projects finished on time. Sorry about working Christmas Eve, but you area gem to be their for the people who have needs, and there will be some, I am sure.

Hugs to all of my Cotton Pals. Enjoy your weekend.

Good Morning,

We had some snow last night and expect more today. It may warm up a bit this week. Have 2 birthdays coming up toward the end of the week, dh and dgs1, who will be 3. I won't tell you the age for dh. Next year he will be a speed limit.

DGD's elf on the shelf has been eating oreo cookies, had a snowball fight with Barbie, using minature marshmellows and yesterday ate some chuckles. DGD thinks he ate the marshmellows and told her daddy that Elfie likes all of the good stuff. She told me she found a game on the steps and told her daddy and he said "ooops"

They are going in the aquarium in Chicago today, as the Unckle from Colorado is here and wants to see some of the big city. The kids also watch another 2 year old and this is the weekend they have him too. They will have their hands full for sure.

Been praying for the families of Sandy hook today and last night. I pray too, the press will leave them alone.

DS3 has a pot luck tonight and DH and DS2 are off later today to do some shopping and pick up the skulls. They took 4 long horn heads into the taxidermey and are picking them up today. One has been sold and the other 3 are going somewhere, but not in this house. The shed looks like a good place for them I think..

That is the news from here. If you haven't seen the thread in chit chat about the cold weather take a look and add your thoughts. There are some really good ones.

Sandy, off to get the day going..
