Maryq - have a good work day.

Maryz - gosh, that's a lot of work to get some wood. Once you get it all home then someone has to chop it, right? I hope you don't have to do that part! BTW how are your hands since you've changed meds?

Traci - I'm so sorry to hear of your parents. I have a friend who lost her mom just before Thanksgiving and now the hospice people have come in for her dad. They were married forever. That's how is goes a lot of the time...when one goes the other isn't far behind. Prayers are with you.

Carole - I hope your kids can come. If you do wind up going to dinner at your friend's just tell her it's illegal to talk politics on Jesus' birthday. Is she running for office or something?

Good morning :o)
You all are very busy!
Maryz, WOW those were some BIG trees! Lots of nice wood though :o)
Traci, I am so sorry. (((((HUGS)))))
Jules, sounds like you really enjoyed your visit yesterday! :o)
Well I have no time today, gotta hop through the shower and get ready for PT, I only have today and Thursday left and that's all my insurance will cover. I'm doing a lot better, not 100% but most days I'm about 80+% everyonce in awhile I'll hit the 90's :o) here and there I'm at 50% but those days are getting less and less :o) They have started massages and said if it helps for me to start seeing a massage therapist, so far it does seem to help so I'll be making me an appointment before Christmas I hope.
Well I better scoot. I hope you all have a wonderful day! Prayers for those in need.
Tina

Hi, all!! I'm making a resolution to stop in more often!!

I have tabletoppers/runners to finish for siblings for Christmas.... and I have to get 2 more ornaments for Mom to send to family.

I started a new tradition when we moved down to Florida, and Mom as no longer able to get out to the stores. I buy ornaments for my siblings and their kids, and now one great-grand, and Mom gives them. This year, the great-granddaughter (Alex), is getting a big purple ball (blown glass). My younger brother is very active with the Patriot Guard and the Justin Rollins Memorial Ride, so he is getting a Harley... my other brother has enjoyed the last year with his new girlfriend and they did a lot of camping and during hunting season, he got his deer, so he's getting a "Gone Camping" ornament as well as a "Great Hunter" ornament... Santa's all around for most everyone else... Oh, my nephew (Afghan vet, and great kid) is getting a Santa with a banner that says 2013 because this year he bought his first house!!

Mom just called, her voice sounded a little sleepy and slurred, and Dad has practice for their Christmas show this afternoon, so I off to see Mom this afternoon. Will be taking my handwork, so I can get some things done!!

CINDY - sounds like YOU are offering to come up and split the wood! Because, honey, there ain't no one else gonna do it! We will borrow my brother's splitter and that goes really fast. Then the stacking begins. They do say a person who cuts their own wood is twice warmed. in our case, we'll be thrice or forice warmed!!

CINDY B - hi! Sounds like your parents are doing pretty well! Good to hear.

TINA - I can tell you my massage therapist works magic. But I think he's special. I had another LMT work on me back in Sept when my leg was so bad and she was good for relaxation, but didn't do much else. when I was able to get in to see David, he was very effective and I always feel better after one of his massages.

Good afternoon from cold and snowy Ky.

We had snow early this morning. First they said schools were on a 2 hr delay and then about 15 minutes later they said schools were closed. It is cold, cold. So we are making a gingerbread house today!! I am thinking the candies are going to be eaten before the house is decorated!

Wormster....so sorry about your furnace. I hope it can be fixed and not replaced.

MaryZ....it looks like you were hard at work hauling that wood! do you have to let it dry before you use it?

Jules...have a fun day!

Miriam...you really need to live closer. I could so use some of your wisdom and the kids could get their puppy fix too! I hope the pups are staying warm.

Chriss...have a good day at work.

Suzette...where did you find your elm creek companion book? I have them and the companion book sounds like a great idea/

Izzy.....guess you had school today! Sorry(:

Well I am going to fix lunch...ham and cheese sandwiches with Cheetos for the kids.
I hope everyone has a great day.

Sharon

Good afternoon everyone. I am trying to finish up projects that really need to get finished and on their way to their home destinations. I am finally working on the binding of the antique quilt I have been hand quilting. I need your help though. I have never hand stitched the binding down on any of the quilts I've done. I need to know what the best stitch/technique is for sewing the binding down. Thanks

Easton is tooooooo cute just want to pinch those cheeks then give him some smootches:)))

Not nice Sharonkl Yes I had school driving in this morning was crazy got there before roads got slick heavy snow then poof all gone LOL Welcome to KY if you dont like the weather just stick around it changes quickly :))

Ok Last night--Dh went to barn to get hay. He saw a bunch of lights like flash lights hunters wear on their heads--he yelled what are you doin on my farm. All the lights went out. He could hear them running through woods. He spooked them good. He road back to house got shot gun and 38 called police and went back into woods. Our neightbors farm that backs up to us has an old abandoned trailor out in field. Cops and DH saw several people coming in and out of it in manic chaos. The ones on our land scooted back across the line before police got there. They were out there for about hour when all calmed down and came back to house. So tonight my DH and DS are walking fence line to check for cut wires. Redoing any and monitoring the area a bit.

Yes I have a 38 as well. I also have my concealed to carry licence and have been trained on shooting :) We kinda like the hatfields an mccoys up here LOL everyone has a gun. LOL

But I am on alert for now. Watching woods and keeping things locked up and packing any time I am away from house. Which I already did:)

So that was my excitement last night. Crazy I know but thats part of living out in no wheres ville:))

So on nicer note DS and DDIL want to build on our lot we offered them when they got married up at top of farm. I am so excited:) I miss having him around not to mention when the grands come along I will be closer than the in laws LOL:)) Is that bad. I hope not:)

Ok I decided to do the mystery quilt of els and the Celtic Mystery quilt of Bonnies too. now thats crazy I know I hope I keep them straight. LOL Will be interesting along with the SBS blocks LOL oh my I have lost my mind :)))))If you all find it please mail it back soon:)

Ok DH brought home dinner--its ok but I like my cooking better it was his christmas party dinner left overs that got canceled due to icy weather LOL

Well off I go . Els webinar is on tonight gonna watch it so need to get this kitchen cleaned up. I had to process deer meat when I got home and I bleached kitchen down so now to clean it reallywell.

Going to go see Frozen Thursday got two free tickets so taking DD with us to have family movie night she loves disney and figure less a crown on a thursday night LOL she hated kids and its a school night so we shall see:)

God bless all,
Chrissy prayers sent up for torrie:)

Womster I hear ya on furnace having trouble with fire last night and tonight this wood is pits wont burn maybe I need some of those fir tree logs I saw in pics by Purrfect:)

Izzy the undull moment chick LOL Just stand by I am sure something else will go on around here thats not expected LOL
Oh please NOOOO:)) You know you pay for this type of excitement at movies and I supply it for free:)
