Supper club, Dec. 5th, Thursday......

Post by Irishgram » Thu Dec 05, 2013 6:08 am

Oh where oh where is everyone?????I stopped in earlier, no one here and thought I'd come back and still en empty table.....

So, the coffee is ready and the kettle is hot, pull up a seat and what's the expression, "take a load off".......

We're having a very rainy, warm day here in SW. Pa....Thank goodness it's not snow but I guess that's coming this weekend....I did want to get out, furbabies need their buffet filled and also treats...Need to keep the "kids" happy, happy, happy (as they say on Duck Dynasty).....Think I'll wait and hope it clears up a little....

My "pigs in a blanket" has been changed to hot dogs and sauerkraut...Jim's been hinting for the last couple of days so he'll get his wish....I did make some chocolate chip cookies yesterday so that's for afters....And I have a yen for sticky rolls with lots of raisins so I might mix up a batch.....Sounds like I'll be staying home.....

What's happening in your kitchen today................

Happy eating..............

Good Morning IRISH & everyone.Sun has been out for some time now after fog.To be 64 today.Know we will pay one day for this.

Went to Dr for allergy shots & couple of errands. Now I am pooped.Do not know if I am going to be cleared up or need more med.Just not the time of year to have no energy.Sorry to complain as I do have much to be grateful for.

DH also asked for sauerkraut with Kasbashi's.That it is & cherry pie. From the bakery....Becca

Good Morning,

IRISH - I'll take a cup of that coffee! I need it. Just did my two miles with Scottie in 25* weather. Man, I'm sure getting a bigger cardio workout that I used to! He gets to be off-leash while we go through the woods. and the stuff he finds to eat before I can catch him. You just don't want to know what he ate this morning. I can't hardly even think of supper or eating anything right now. Does anyone actually remember why it was that I thought we needed a puppy??

BECCA - I sure hope you find your pep soon. a few years back, I was good through all the preparations, but I got so sick late on Dec 23rd, and spent Christmas Eve laying on a table in Urgent Care getting IV's. I couldn't stop vomiting. And that evening was our big family dinner, presents, party. At OUR house! I just laid on the couch under a quilt and let them all party away.

Supper - well, we have some leftover stew, like I figured, but it's kinda juicy so I think I will do those dumplings that I passed on yesterday. and a big old salad. We have to eat the salad because I need the dressing jars to put my cappuccino mix in for gifts! lol!

Good Evening ALL......don't really know how to describe our weather today.....its all over the place.....up north and in Scotland....there are floods and high winds.....hope Jacquie is doing Ok....sound grim up there....some people in the eastern counties are having to move out to community because of floods... high tides and falling trees.....North Wales has the same problem with the flooding......and we have got the very high winds......and we are supposed to be away this week-end with the caravan for our club AGM and Christmas dinner....just hopping it blows itself out over night....

BECCA.....I do hope those Allergy injections help you and your get-up-and-go returns swiftly......just take it slow and easy and waltz into Christmas.......

Actually......I must say I don't like the sound of that howling wind outside.....beginning to sound like the roof is about to take a flying leap....so I think without more ado.....going to do a quick disappearing trick from here.......

Carol

forgot the menu.....Egg and Chips and Peas......Steamed Jam Pudding and Custard......
will be away until Monday.....I think....

Gosh, I missed the coffee! I've been busy for two days baking for the bake sale at the Christmas Walk here in the Village tomorrow night. I made Irish's Banana Bars, some Texas chocolate cup cakes, and chocolate chip with walnuts cookies. We are getting big snow/ice starting overnight and continuing this weekend. Earl will man his train display at the Insurance Company in town tomorrow..and I will check out the businesses for gifts. It's going to be COLD, so I won't be doing alot of running the streets!

We went to Mama's Grill tonight...

Joanne
