Saturday, November 30
Good morning everyone.
Boy this surgery has messed up my sleep schedule. I wake up during the night and can't get back to sleep. The final steri- strip fell off my incision after my shower last night. After it finishes healing it looks like I may not have any scar. Or if I do it won't be much. If I can't get back to sleep I may just sneak out back and sew some. Today I have some uglies to get done as well. Have a wonderful day.

Morning all -
Yesterday I felt like I had a 500 pound weight on my body. I was exhausted from the night before when I had so much energy that I stayed up till 4:15am and got the DC quilt on the frame. I have done a fleece/flannel quilt before but never a fleece/fleece. All you have to do is look at it and it stretches - LOL!!! All is well. I had 2 rows finished so I quit for the night. Today is newsletter day after hopefully getting to the PO. They did a poopoo on me and closed early
so I hope I can get there today otherwise it will be Monday at the latest.
Are there decorations going up??? We are waiting till the kids get here and do it with them

*** I have decided to add a VERY SPECIAL ADDITION for a WINNER in the December LOTTO BUT we need to have at least 15 Pals joining us for the last month of the year. Not going to tell you what it is BUT it will be FABulous!! So tell all your Pals to check out the Lotto Thread. It is a very easy, fast, fun block. You don't have to do anything extra except make at least 4 blocks and send some strips :)I am thrilled to see Jana and Sarah joining us. Who will be next??? MERRY STITCHIN!!!!
Suzette - I hope you can get back to the sleep schedule soon. I hate it when I get off track. What quilt are you working on?
OK I am off to bed. I Hope you have a wonderful weekend. HUGE HUGS and PRAYERS ALWAYS

Teresa - I am making a baby quilt for our new grand baby to be. She is due in a couple of weeks. All my projects got sidelined when I was diagnosed. So, I am trying to catch up. I always give the baby quilts after the birth so I can add the details to the label.

Re: Saturday, November 30
Shopping yesterday was fun and I got a lot done. The only place that didn't work for me was Kohl's, the lines were to the back of the store and I didn't have time to stand for an hour and half to get checked out. If Emily wasn't with me and I had more time I would have though.
We had a surprise party last night for my sister in law. They all played games (I'm not a big game player)and I visited with family and helped my MIL when she needed it. It was so good to see her up and out of bed!
We have church here tomorrow so I have to figure out a meal and clean a little. Not going to go over board this time. Yes, church was just here, we have gone through a terrible church fellowship split about a month ago. I haven't really been able to talk about it and still can't much. My son in law and daughter Tia are on the "other" side of this thing along with some other very special people to me. It hurts too much to get into. But I would appreciate all your prayers.
The guys are off hunting this morning and I have spent too much time on Pinterest so I'm off.
Have a great day and keep looking up!

Re: Saturday, November 30
Good Morning,
I hope everyone had a great Friday and that IRISH didn't end up on the front page of any newspapers! Our day was super! We were in the mountains by 11am, offloading our buggy and off we went up the forest service roads to our favorite tree-cutting hill - about 4,000 ft high. Not a single flake of snow in the air or on the ground! Lots of other folks were up there, too, with bonfires going, tailgate picnics, and lots of festive fun. Eventually we had to park and walk to look for a tree - and by walk, I mean climb a 1/4 mile up a hill side so steep it was more like climbing a ladder. Scottie thought he was in puppy heaven! We did get a nice 8' silver fir and then poor DH had to get it back down that hill and strapped on top of the buggy. After our own picnic we got back in and drove around exploring more roads before the cold drove us back to the pick-up. We got home about 4:30pm, just in time to see our house lights twinkle on. What a nice day! I did take pictures and will try to find the camera and share some with you.
SUZ - glad you're feeling better. I bet you don't have much scar. My DB had a cancer removed from his forehead with 14 sutures in the shape of a "J" right between his eyes. It looked like a little railroad track. Jim thought it was cool. I told him not many people would have their initial carved in their foreheads. and then the scar faded away to nothing. He was so disappointed!
TERESA - anyone who stays up all night quilting would be exhausted the next day - because it IS the next day! I rarely sew past 5pm at the latest. If I do - that's when I make most of my mistakes. The lotto sounds fun and the block is cute. But I think my plate is full for now. But things could change . . .
LOIS - we kept raking leaves and they kept falling! It's never ending here so we finally just decorated over them! lol! I tell myself they make a good mulch for my flowerbeds - which is true. Hope you're able to get in some shopping time next week.
VICKY - the party sounds fun. I AM a game person. I could play games all night long. Sorry about the discontent in your church. Personally, I've never thought God cared much about the label we carry as we worship Him, but only that we do, and that we carry Him through our daily lives. Don't let the discord in your church hurt your family relationships.
BECCA - 3 new grandbabies??! Lucky you!! Congratulations!
CHRISS - your shopping day sounds easy, peasy, and peaceful! And yes, my grandson does do all the meal himself from planning his menu to serving the turkey. He even had several appetizers. He did let his dad carve the turkey though. He's been cooking since he was 10. This year he attends a culinary school in the mornings and goes to regular high school in the afternoons, and gets credit for hours spent cooking at home.
Today will be all about Mr. Maytag. He and I have been spending way too much time together lately. Also, sorting through photos for Christmas cards, and walkin' the dog. and I think we'll go see Warren and Lois.
Have a great day!

Good Morning to all.
Not much here to talk about. Just working furiously on my table runners to get them finished in time to mail. Then I also have 4 of the santa wall hangers to do as well.
On top of that, I am inspired to join the Lotto again this month. Te block is so easy and I bought some fat quarters at the quilt show I Houston for only $1 each, so it will be fun to use these and have a little fun with that as soon as I get my other projects going and finished.
No shopping in the malls and stuff for me on Black Friday. Can't stand being in the stores with crowds. Glad I don't have to do that any more.
Have a fun weekend whether you are dancing the "Mount Washmore" or just getting cozy with cotton and your sewing machine.
Happy Day
